It's been over a month since I posted photos of @flowerbaby and me. There have been a few selfies from soccer games we went to, but that's about it. I figured now would be an excellent time to change this.
This past Saturday we went to have lunch at this Greek restaurant called Sokolata, the name of which translates to Chocolate in the Greek language. Believe it or not, we didn't actually eat any dessert there, but we did have a yummy meal together and were some of the only people inside of the restaurant since we got less than an hour after they opened.
After eating, she said she'd like to take some photos somewhere. We just about left the restaurant, but out behind it was a desolate area along the river which was covered in fallen leaves of autumn colors. This was a perfect little location for some photographs and very convenient too.
We drove around the back and parked in a different parking lot and as soon as we got out of the car some random old lady and her dog appeared. I guess she was one of the only people who lived in the area who felt like being outside in perfect weather. She was gone in a few minutes and didn't disturb us while she continued to walk her little dog. As soon as she left, we got to work.
The sun was extremely bright, so in most of these photos, we are either squinting or have our eyes closed. Even with that fact, the images turned out pretty great I'd like to think. These were all captured using my iPhone 14 Pro Max. We used all of the lenses on my camera. The 24 mm main, 13 mm ultra-wide, 48 mm telephoto, and the 77 mm telephoto. Being able to swap lenses at the touch of a button really is something special and allows us to capture what we are trying to do.
Although I'm already missing summertime and going to the pool every day, I'm still enjoying this part of fall. The temperature keeps teetering between slightly cold and perfectly warm. This I can very much enjoy, but I don't look forward to when the temperature decides to drop drastically for good.
It's the colors of the leaves that do it for me in these photos. That and of course my totally gorgeous girl who just shines so bright in every photo I see of her. I'm glad we stopped to do this, it really didn't take long and these pictures were more than worth it.
