Saludos amigos de @tattooworld. Recientemente he compartido con personas tatuadas y con las que me he sentido con la suficiente confianza para preguntarles por sus tatuajes y significados, unos más elocuentes que otros, me han respondido abiertamente, hoy les comparto una de estas experiencias. Laura es una jóven cercana a la familia de mi hijo, fue de visita con una amiga y aunque ya la conocía y habíamos interactuado en distintas ocasiones no había encontrado el momento oportuno para “entrevistarla”. Hace algunas semanas se dió el momento perfecto, relajadas, comenzamos hablar de sus tatuajes. Inició con esta figura colorida y llamativa, habla de ella con entusiasmo y a la vez un dejo de nostalgia, pues es Mochilo, uno de los personajes de la serie de dibujos animados llamada, los fruitts, famosa en los años ‘90 y que la acompañó durante su niñez. >Greetings, friends of @tattooworld. >I recently spent time with some tattooed people whom I felt comfortable enough to ask about their tattoos and their meanings. Some were more eloquent than others, but they all answered me openly. Today, I'd like to share one of these experiences with you. >Laura is a young woman who is close to my son's family. She came to visit with a friend, and although I already knew her and we had interacted on several occasions, I hadn't found the right moment to “interview” her. A few weeks ago, the perfect moment arose. Relaxed, we began to talk about her tattoos. >She started with this colorful and striking figure, talking about it with enthusiasm and a touch of nostalgia, as it is Mochilo, one of the characters from the cartoon series called Los Fruitts, famous in the 90s and which accompanied her throughout her childhood.  Muy cerca,tiene su último tatuaje, una hermosa rosa bien definida y colores tenues, es un tatuaje en honor a su abuela y la rosa viene por varios motivos. La abuela y el abuelo nacieron el día de Sant Jordi, patrono de Cataluña. La leyenda nos narra cómo Sant Jordi salvó a la princesa del dragón y que la sangre del dragón se transformó en una rosa roja que el caballero obsequió a la princesa. >Very close by, on the same arm, is her latest tattoo, a beautiful rose with well-defined lines and soft colors. It is a tattoo in honor of her grandmother, and the rose has several meanings. Her grandmother and grandfather were born on Sant Jordi's Day, the patron saint of Catalonia. Legend has it that Sant Jordi saved the princess from the dragon and that the dragon's blood turned into a red rose, which the knight gave to the princess.  El día de Sant Jordi se celebra el 23 de abril en toda Cataluña, día del libro, ese día, en esta parte del mundo, se regalan rosas y libros. En fin, un conjunto de hermosos “detalles significativos” se encuentran recogidos en este delicado tatuaje # Dos palabras de gran compromiso Entre los tatuajes que Laura tiene hay dos que me sorprendieron, primero porque desconocía sus significados, segundo, porque ambas palabras conceptualizan posiciones ante la vida y cuando las haces propias, al tatuarlas, implican un gran compromiso contigo mismo y con los demás. >Sant Jordi's Day is celebrated on April 23 throughout Catalonia, the day of the book. On this day, in this part of the world, roses and books are given as gifts. In short, a set of beautiful “meaningful details” are captured in this delicate tattoo. > # Two words with great meaning >Among Laura's tattoos, there are two that surprised me, first because I didn't know their meanings, and second because both words conceptualize attitudes toward life, and when you make them your own by tattooing them, they imply a great commitment to yourself and others.  Serendipity, que en su significado amplio y concreto se define como : Descubrir algo sin estar buscándolo. Su uso está contextualizado en el ámbito científico, así que los ejemplos más comunes son, entre tantos otros, el hallazgo de la penicilina y la llegada de Colón a América cuando buscaba las Indias. Hoy me preguntó si está palabra será aplicable a nosotros mismos, cuando nos auto descubrimos en ese quién soy potencial que está por ser. >Serendipity, which in its broad and specific meaning is defined as: Discovering something without looking for it. Its use is contextualized in the scientific field, so the most common examples are, among many others, the discovery of penicillin and Columbus' arrival in America when he was looking for the Indies. >Today I wondered if this word is applicable to ourselves, when we discover ourselves in that potential who I am that is yet to be.  **Ubuntu**: palabra de origen africano que se traduce como, **Yo soy porque somos**. Está corta frase recoge la profunda idea de interconexión entre los seres, en el sentido de que existe un yo, solo porque hay un tú. Me parece que es un concepto que va más allá de la interacción, que es una comprensión desde la totalidad, desde la unidad que conforma el todo, abarcando el sentimiento de “todos somos uno”. **Ubuntu**: a word of African origin that translates as, **I am because we are**. This short phrase captures the profound idea of interconnection between beings, in the sense that I exist only because you exist. It seems to me that this is a concept that goes beyond interaction, that it is an understanding from the whole, from the unity that makes up the whole, encompassing the feeling that “we are all one.”  Laura, ofrecí enviarte el link cuando publicase el post.
