Warm greetings to all the fans and coffee lovers of this community, this time I come with a very nice post because it talks about friends and coffee, the perfect combination. This happened on a Monday, after the meet up, we arranged to meet at a place near my work and they chose this super nice place. Although I go there every day as a routine I had never entered to taste anything. My first impression was amazing because there were a lot of grecas and different devices to make and prepare coffee. The place is called Santanera Specialty coffee.
The first thing you notice when you enter are many tables with grecas in each one of them as vases, many methods to make coffee and some pictures with infographics about coffee beans and related things, one of my favorite things since it gave it a very cozy atmosphere besides unique and super creative. According to their website they have beans from different origins with scores over 80 points and they also mention that they roast their own coffee beans.
I met up with @ninaeatshere @stefy.music and @wesp05 to continue our chat about #hive, life and the odd anecdote. Some drinks and desserts had already been ordered when I arrived, so I had to have a Flat white with oat milk and no sugar, my favorite, while they decided on beer and tinto de verano, yes, they also have other drink options besides coffees. After seeing the dessert Stefania ordered I got a little hungry and ordered some pancakes with dulce de leche that although they took a little while were very tasty.
The guy who served us was super friendly and always tried to keep us happy and at ease, which is very important to me, he even made me a kind of latte art with a heart, he commented that he was also Venezuelan and showed us a swan design that he had previously made on the coffee.
One thing that I really liked and stands out in the place is a sign on the back wall with the phrase Coffee helps those who sleep little and dream a lot, I felt identified by personal issues, which made me take my coffee much happier.
I give the coffee a 9/10 because it was super good tasting and the milk was not burnt, I do not rule out the possibility of finding some place where it earns those 10 points. I will try another coffee from the same place later to give it that point it needs. The prices are very good for the good service, comfort and quality of the product so I recommend it a hundred percent if you are in Madrid.
