Hello dear friends of #HiveFood and food lovers, especially Italian food lovers. This is an old post that I had saved, and looking at my photos, I remembered how delicious the food was at this place. I can't help but tell you about it.
On my trip to Rome with my family, I asked an Italian friend to recommend a place to eat that was delicious and not too expensive, and she told me that I definitely had to visit Nannarella. I thought the name was super cute and charming, haha. We looked it up on Google Maps, and I remember that we had to walk down a street full of restaurants, and this one was definitely the only one that was packed with people eating.

En mi viaje a Roma con mi familia, le pregunté a una amiga italiana que me recomendara un sitio para comer rico y que no sea tan costoso, me dijo que sin duda tenia que visitar Nannarella. El nombre me pareció super lindo y cuchi jaja, buscamos ubi y recuerdo que tuvimos que caminar una calle repleta de restaurantes y ese sin duda era el único que estaba repleto de personas consumiendo.
When we arrived, it wasn't that crowded yet. There was a very nice terrace, but we decided to go inside to be more comfortable. I also needed to charge my phone; when you're a tourist, every charge counts. When we finished and left, we saw that there was a line of about 15 people waiting to eat. Let's just say we arrived at a good time, which made it clear to us that the place is undoubtedly excellent.
Cuando llegamos aún no estaba tan lleno, había una terraza muy linda pero decidimos entrar para estar más cómodos, también necesitaba cargar mi teléfono, cuando eres turista cada carga vale. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our food, but we figured it was because of the number of people there and that it wasn't quite lunchtime yet. The menu was quite extensive and had everything. I didn't understand Italian very well, but thanks to internet references, the translator, and my Italian friend, I had an idea of what I wanted.

To start, we ordered beers and Tris di Bruschette: Pomodoro, Mozzarella e prosciutto crudo, Mozzarella e alici.
Translation: Appetizers of tomato, mozzarella, and prosciutto crudo, and mozzarella and anchovies. We also ordered a focaccia with rosemary and olive oil. It was delicious and crispy. I had never eaten so much focaccia in my life as I did during those three days in Rome, but the one here was the best.
De entrada pedimos Cervezas y Tris di Bruschette: Pomodoro, Mozzarella e prosciutto crudo, Mozzarella e alici. Traducción: Entrantes de tomate, mozarella y jamón crudo y mozarella y anchoas. For the second course, everyone ordered whatever they felt like from the menu, and we varied our choices so we could try a little bit of everything

I ordered Lasagna Ragú. I couldn't leave without trying it. We had already eaten pasta at other places, but I really wanted to try it. It's honestly the best I've ever had, and I'm not just saying that to brag. I really liked the flavor, the portion size, and the presentation.

My mother-in-law ordered pasta. In Rome, they say you have to try Cacio e pepe, Carbonara, or Amatriciana, which is a very typical Roman recipe that uses pecorino cheese. This Cacio e pepe was undoubtedly phenomenal.
Mi suegra pidió pasta, en Roma dicen que debes probar la Cacio e pepe, Carbonara o Amatriciana que es una receta muy típica romana que usan queso pecorino. Esta Cacio e pepe estaba sin duda fenomenal.
My mom, who is a bit more particular about food, ordered chicken Roman style with pepperoni, baked potatoes, and tomato. It reminded me so much of my grandmother's cooking, the seasoning of the chicken with the juice surrounding it was just what I needed to try. It's also an incredible dish.
Mi mamá que es un poco más delicada con las comidas, se pidió un Pollo a la Romana con peperoni, patatas al horno y tomate. Me recordó demasiado la comida de abuela, la sazón del pollo con el jugo que lo rodeaba era justo lo que necesitaba probar. También es un plato increíble.
My boyfriend ordered the Amatriciana, which we had already tried at other restaurants, and although we are not very familiar with these recipes, we can say that this one in particular was very good. The pieces of guanciale gave it the perfect touch and the portion was just right.
Y mi novio en su caso pidió la Amatriciana que ya habíamos probado en otros restaurantes y aunque no estamos tan familiarizados con estas recetas, podemos opinar que esta en particular estaba super bien, los trozos de guanciale le daban el toque perfecto y la porción era justa.
They gave us some pieces of bread that were very toasted to accompany the meal, super delicious, I practically ate them all by myself LOL.
Nos dieron unos trozos de pan que estaban muy tostados para acompañar la comida, super deli, me los comí todos yo sola practicamente jaja.
Even though we were all super full, we couldn't pass up dessert. Tiramisu was the star of the show, and although it wasn't our favorite of the trip, we give it an 8/10 for flavor. The texture was a little waterier than others, but the sprinkled cocoa and coffee-soaked cookie base were incredible.
Aún estando todos super llenos no podíamos dejar pasar el postre. Una tiramisú fue la protagonista y aunque no fue nuestra favorita del viaje le damos un 8/10 por el sabor, la contextura si que era un poco más aguada que otros, pero el cacao esparcido y su base de galletas bañada en café estaba increíble.
