1000021772.jpg source Did you watch these animated movies as a kid? I wasn't even able to give a complete watch of it. It was cutting into some scenes and out and till date, I haven't really been able to get the full picture of what the writer was portraying. Should I go back to it now?

I don't think I really have that fun time for kiddish throwbacks. Nevertheless, I did love that movie anytime I was opportune to watch any of its scenes. animations will always remain my favorites but it seems I have gotten my ‘time’s out’ for that.

When you are trying to meet up with this and that, two hours of a movie will trigger your conscience. Ok, the entirety of this article was not to dwell on that, just getting back to that because of the title up there. I was just considering how things were in the earlier phases of technology in our country. It was more like a toy story, I mean someone could hold a phone as big as it was and it wasn't able to do much.

It was AKA’ed ‘Chinese phones’ over here. So how did we get here; demand and affordability. When cell phones was introduced into the country in the early 2000’s it was rare and expensive to afford. The Nokia 3310 remains a model many will not forget at a glance. My Dad had one; heavy as a stone it was. A true definition of something being built to outlast. Before even considering having a phone you will be imagining how to even get a sim card. Of course it was at first even more expensive than phones.

Anyone who had a sim card was proud and satisfied. I mean, ALL you do is put it in your pocket and go about without a mobile phone. Those old funny/awkward days I must say, just imagining how one would be considered to behave in such a manner at this current age.

At least the prices of sim card later came down to the affordable stage but it wasn't the same with mobile phones. Demand was high, buying Nokia products was not that easy when entering into the time of Internet browser usage, music and video storage.

This was when this nicknamed ‘Chinese phones’ brand was introduced into our country. It was an easy spread and pick for customers. Loud noise, big button phone screen, poor internet access abilities, low internal storage, poor battery strength, blurry camera and the rest. Yes, it was indeed the test run mode and good enough there were desperate buyers who helped this mobile industry to grow from its assumed smart stage to truly becoming smart.
1000021773.jpg source You see why I called the entire scenarios a toy story. It never did meet the true test of smartphones and matured people were holding it to compensate for not being able to avoid the expensive java phones that were a hot cake. It was always a cross finger buy when going to purchase one when considering you could get hit with a poor battery especially when it is a fairly used one.

I don't think anyone would currently want to upload any picture taken from such phones anymore. Anyway, by then we never even realized it was blurry. At least you could capture yourself anytime at anywhere, something to first consider as a big tech upgrade. The phase has moved on, java and symbian phones are no longer in the picture when talking of smart. These ‘Chinese phones’ industries have evolved into building powerful smart mobile phones.

It is something that always draws me to how the whole blockchain, crypto, web3 and AI thing will look like in the near future. Will what we find very functional and optimize NOW meet the class of the next decade or two.

Wrapping up, talking of the crypto world, we even saw many non-utility tokens fading off. At its early phase, it was one of those ‘ignorant buy’ projects by many. I was a part of you, it never scaled anyway. Something worth considering me being ignorant NOW not then; another toy story went past. Fast pace of technology is rendering so many woooowed things obsolete. So which and which will join the next decade list of toy stories?
