Calle Los Uveros y sus paredes de recorren Margarita [Esp/Eng]

 Hola a todos, espero que se encuentren bien. Yo muy contenta de pasar por la comunidad @hivemargarita porque hoy vengo a hablarles sobre una calle muy concurrida de aquí de la isla, la Calle Los Uveros, ubicada en Porlamar, específicamente en la Urbanización Costa Azul. Se trata de una zona comercial y bastante turística ya que da acceso a varios hoteles importantes como el Hotel Venetur Margarita y Hotel Margarita Dinasty, además se encuentra detrás del C.C. La Vela y el Caribbean Center Mall (CCM). > Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I'm very happy to stop by the @hivemargarita community today to talk about one of the busiest streets on the island, Calle Los Uveros, located in Porlamar, specifically in the Costa Azul neighborhood. > It's a commercial and tourist-friendly area that gives access to several major hotels like Hotel Venetur Margarita and Hotel Margarita Dinasty. It's also located behind La Vela Shopping Center and the Caribbean Center Mall (CCM).           Siempre pasaba por ahí cuando tenía que ir con mi mamá a La Vela, observaba los murales de lejos y también me daba curiosidad como era el CCM por dentro, así que este día que fui di un recorrido de cerca por toda la calle y quiero compartirlo con ustedes, espero que les guste. 📷🏙🏝 > I used to pass by often when I went with my mom to La Vela. I’d admire the murals from afar and wonder what the CCM looked like inside. So this time, I took a closer walk along the street and I’d love to share it with you. 📷🏙🏝           Lo primero que hice fue acercarme a este amplio estacionamiento, porque me llamó la atención esta larga pared llena de dibujos. Me encantó que estuviera dividida mostrando los lugares más famosos de la Isla. El primero que observé fue este de una guacamaya volando con la Virgen Del Valle. Como pueden ver, el edificio del Venetur está de fondo. > The first thing I did was approach a large parking lot, drawn in by a long wall full of artwork. I loved how it was divided into sections, each showing iconic places from the island. The first mural I saw featured a macaw flying alongside the Virgen Del Valle, with the Venetur building in the background.   A un lado estaba este dedicado a una canción muy famosa que todos aquí conocemos, "El Carite". Esta canción se baila de la siguiente manera, una persona se disfraza del carite y otros de pescadores, juntos recrean la aventura de capturar a este pez 🐟 que se come aquí en Margarita, junto a él las mujeres bailan usando esas grandes faldas y moviéndolas al ritmo de la canción. > Next to it was a mural inspired by a well-known local song, “El Carite.” The dance involves someone dressed as the carite fish and others as fishermen, reenacting the adventure of catching this beloved Margarita delicacy 🐟. Women join in the dance, wearing wide skirts and swaying them to the rhythm of the music.     El siguiente mural es de una señora vendiendo empanadas. Algo típico de la gastronomía margariteña son las empanadas de diferentes sabores como cazón, carne mechada, pollo, queso, jamón, pabellón margariteño o criollo y muchas más combinaciones. Las señoras vendiendo empanadas margariteñas son figuras importantes de nuestra gastronomía. > The next mural shows a woman selling empanadas. A staple of Margarita’s cuisine, empanadas come in many flavors, shredded fish, beef, chicken, cheese, ham, traditional “pabellón” and many other combinations. These women are iconic figures in our local food culture.     Seguidamente, estaban estos barquitos y lanchas en el mar y luego esta que hace referencia a las lanchas que se usan para dar los paseos por el Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga. Esta laguna es hermosa, formada principalmente por manglares. Cuando era pequeña tuve la oportunidad de visitarla por un paseo del colegio y fue espectacular toda la vista. > Then came murals of boats and skiffs at sea, including one referencing the tours through Laguna de la Restinga National Park. The lagoon is stunning, mostly made up of mangroves. I visited it as a child on a school trip, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.    Luego venía el Faro Punta Ballena de Pampatar, un atractivo turístico muy famoso también que tuve la oportunidad de visitar el año pasado y me dejó impresionada con todo el paisaje que se puede ver desde ahí, como las salinas, el mar y parte de Pampatar. Se puede subir por unas escaleras de caracol hasta la cima para disfrutar la vista. > Next was the Punta Ballena Lighthouse in Pampatar, another famous attraction I had the chance to visit last year. I was amazed by the panoramic view, from the salt flats to the sea and the town of Pampatar. You can climb a spiral staircase to the top and take in the scenery.   No podía faltar el Castillo de Pampatar. Me encanta este lugar también, como todos los anteriores, pero este tiene algo en especial para mí porque he dado muchos paseos ahí con seres queridos. Es un sitio lleno de historia y belleza que todos los que vienen a Margarita tienen que visitar. > Of course, the Pampatar Castle was also featured. I love this place just as much as the others, but it holds a special place in my heart because I’ve shared many walks there with loved ones. It’s a site full of history and beauty that everyone visiting Margarita should see.    Después venía la Basílica menor de Nuestra Señora del Valle, nunca he podido ir pero quisiera visitar El Valle próximamente. > Then came the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley. I haven’t visited yet, but I hope to go to El Valle soon.    Este mural me pareció super bello. Se trata de la vista que se observa desde el faro, es tan impresionante que hicieron un dibujo solo para la vista. > This mural was especially beautiful, it captured the view from the lighthouse. The view is so striking, they dedicated an entire mural to it.   Este reconocí que es el Fortín de La Galera porque también lo visité el año pasado una tarde para ver el atardecer y fue increíble. > I recognized the Fortín de La Galera, which I also visited last year one afternoon to watch the sunset, it was incredible. Este dedicado a las cotorras y tortugas marinas. Aunque no se veían muy bien cuidados, me hubiese gustado verlos cómo eran cuando estaban recién hechos, algunos arbustos tapaban ciertas partes importantes como el cuerpo de una Iguana, aún así se seguía apreciando la esencia y sin duda le da un toque atractivo y colorido a esta calle. > I continued my walk along Calle Los Uveros and found another mural on a different wall, this one dedicated to parrots and sea turtles. Although they weren’t in perfect condition, I would’ve loved to see how they looked when freshly painted. Some bushes covered key parts, like the body of an iguana, but the essence remained, and it definitely adds charm and color to the street. Este centro comercial hace muchos años era más visitado, actualmente no es tan activo como antes. Había escuchado que se encontraba un taller de costura y otras tiendas así que quería ver cómo era y me sorprendió por el estilo que tenía. Se veía bien cuidado pero un poco vacío a pesar de que eran las 5pm. Me imagino que por ser domingo el día que fui. Otros días quizás sea más concurrido. > Before leaving, I had to step inside the CCM since I’d never seen it from the inside. Years ago, this mall was much more popular, nowadays it’s not as lively. I’d heard there was a sewing workshop and other shops, so I wanted to check it out. I was surprised by its style. It looked well maintained but a bit empty, even though it was already 5pm. I guess it was because I went on a Sunday. Maybe it’s busier on other days.
