Miradas de un recorrido en el Sambil Margarita [Esp/Eng]

 Hola a todos. Hoy estoy feliz por compartir con ustedes un viaje visual, una colección de fotografías que me encontré en el Sambil, específicamente el ala nueva que ya no es tan nueva. En esa área siempre colocan diferentes exposiciones sobre diversos temas y en esta oportunidad, caminando la semana pasada me topé con que habían cambiado la exposición que estaba anteriormente. Se trata de una colección de fotos realizadas en la Península de Macanao y La Guardia por diferentes asistentes en los paseos fotográficos, que pudieron capturar la vida cotidiana de los habitantes de varias localidades. >Hello everyone! Today I'm happy to share with you a visual journey, a collection of photographs I came across at Sambil, specifically in the new wing that’s not so new anymore. That area always hosts different exhibitions on a variety of themes, and this time, while walking through last week, I noticed they had changed the previous display. >It’s a collection of photos taken in the Macanao Peninsula and La Guardia by various participants during photo walks, capturing everyday life in several local communities.      Son imágenes artisticas. Acá podemos ver un ranchito abandonado cerca de la playa, así como una vista hacia el mar un medio de un tronco y en otra una cototrra margariteña, el ave oficial del estado Nueva Esparta. >They are artistic images. Here we can see an abandoned little hut near the beach, a view of the sea framed by a tree trunk, and in another, a Margarita parrot, the official bird of Nueva Esparta state.       Puedo notar como quisieron reflejar lo que es el día a día de margariteños por aquella zonas, con casas a la orilla del mar que poco a poco se van llenando de salitre, además de los botes cerca de la playa que se quedan esperando por ser usados día a día. >I can see how they aimed to reflect the everyday life of Margarita’s people in those areas, homes by the sea gradually weathered by salt, and boats resting near the shore, waiting to be used day after day.      Siempre en los pueblos es muy normal ver que las personas en las tardes salen a sentarse al frente de sus casas a conversar entre vecinos o simplemente observar a la gente pasar, y aquí podemos ver como algunos margariteños están sentados disfrutando la brisa de la tarde. Me hace recordar a cuando voy al pueblo donde viven mis abuelos en Anzoátegui, uno va caminando por las calles y los señores están sentados así como en estas fotos. >In small towns, it’s very common to see people sitting outside their homes in the afternoons, chatting with neighbors or simply watching others pass by, and here we can see some Margarita locals breeze. >It reminds me of when I visit the town where my grandparents live in Anzoátegui. As you walk through the streets, you see the elders sitting just like in these photos.     Como pueden observar, un grupo de hombres jugando cartas, a lo mejor sería el famoso juego truco. También una señora tejiendo algo a mano. >As you can see, a group of men are playing cards, perhaps the famous game truco. There’s also a woman hand-knitting something.    Y por último, mis imágenes favoritas de esta exposición. Yo tengo dos perritas y es por eso que estas fotografías me llegaron al corazón, porque sé el amor tan grande que se puede sentir por una mascota. Además en la foto del señor comiendo con el perro al frente me hizo pensar en cuando yo estoy comiendo y Mili y Murphy están esperando que les de un poquito jajajaja >And finally, my favorite images from the exhibition. I have two little dogs, which is why these photos truly touched my heart, I know how deep the love for a pet can be. Plus, the picture of the man eating with his dog in front of him made me think of when I’m having a meal and Mili and Murphy are sitting there, waiting for me to give them a little bite hahaha.     Detallar este conjunto de imagenes fue interesante, algo diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver expuesto en un centro comercial, y significativo porque refleja un poco sobre la vivencia de los margariteños. Luego de detenerme un rato ahí, quise seguir dando vueltas por el Sambil. Y miren esta zona muy importante que siempre que vengan al Sambil tienen que visitar. >Describing this set of images was truly interesting, something different from what we’re used to seeing displayed in a shopping mall, and meaningful because it reflects a glimpse of life in Margarita. After spending some time there, I decided to keep walking around Sambil. And take a look at this very special area that you absolutely must visit whenever you come to Sambil.              Este día no estaba muy full el centro comercial, pero esta zona como que tenía una gran parte de las personas, pues en un sitio muy bonito con un gran atractivo, los peces. Todos quieren tomarse fotos con ellos y ver cómo comen, porque se les puede dar comida que venden al lado. >That day, the mall wasn’t very crowded, but this particular area seemed to draw most of the people, it’s a beautiful spot with a major attraction, the fish. Everyone wants to take pictures with them and watch them eat, since you can feed them with food sold right next to the pond.        Y miren esta hermosa pecera que está justo a un lado. El Sambil yo diría que es el centro comercial más famoso de Margarita, ya que combina buenas tiendas para visitar, una excelente feria gastronómica bien variada y sitios bonitos para tomarse fotos, este centro comercial lo combina todo. I’d say Sambil is the most famous shopping mall in Margarita, it brings together great stores to visit, an excellent and diverse food court, and lovely spots for taking photos.
