Algo de lo que llevo reflexionando, es el gran apego a la modernidad que existe en las personas. Pueden justificar locuras, con el mantra "sin eso no tuviéramos esto", refiriéndose a cualquier invento. La primera vez que me sorprendió, era muy joven y escuché decir que gracias a las guerras, tenemos muchos de nuestros inventos y debemos agradecer por ese impulso al desarrollo. A este nivel de locura, puede llegar ese fanatismo a lo moderno.
Otra de las falacias, es que tenemos que consumir, para que se siga desarrollando la tecnología, o cualquier invento. Lo que veo es que se produce cada vez más basura sin utilidad real. La mayoría de los nuevos lanzamientos no son disruptivos, sino copias de lo anterior con algún pequeño detalle nuevo. Sin embargo la gente va como pollos sin cabeza a comprar la nueva "revolución".
Con esto no estoy rechazando la tecnología ni lo moderno. Soy promotor de una tecnología verdaderamente disruptiva y que genera valor en la gente. No es una tecnología esnobista, ni elitista para presumir.
Cuando ahorramos y moderamos nuestro consumo, logramos que se produzca mayor calidad. Si consumimos sin control y sin consciencia, sale cualquier cantidad de porquerías para ganar dinero rápido, vendiendo a tontos basura, que no les hará mejorar su vida.
El ahorro es una herramienta de presión hacia la producción. Retengo mi capital, hasta que la calidad sea tal, que no me pueda resistir, porque soluciona un problema real de mi vida. Sin embargo ahora lo que se ve, es que como tengo dinero lo gasto en lo que quiera. "Si puedo lo hago", sin ningún tipo de análisis, reflexión, o cuestionamiento.
El apego a la modernidad y a la comodidad, es tal, que nos ha separado de cosas esenciales que nos hacen humanos. Quehaceres básicos que toda persona debería hacer. En tal sentido no estoy de acuerdo con la idea de tener sirvientes.
Creo que toda persona debería cocinar, lavar su baño, etc. Esto nos hace mantenernos en nuestras raíces, que muchas veces olvidamos. Se idolatra la comodidad y lo que aspiran muchos, es tener bastante dinero para pagar a alguien que haga el "trabajo sucio".
Esto puede ser una de las cosas, por las que me gusta tanto acampar. Me aleja de las comodidades y me conecta con mi ser primitivo, el real, el que forma parte de la naturaleza y no de la ficción de las ciudades.
Tengo 5 años sin lavadora y me he negado a comprarla, porque eso me conecta con esas actividades humanas. Además que vivo solo y lavar a mano se me hace muy fácil. Esas imágenes de personas lavando en un río, son muy exagerada para mí, la verdad no entiendo por qué tienen que golpear la ropa contra las piedras jajajaja. Lo más seguro, es que yo trabajo desde la computadora y no con la tierra 😁
Antes de comprar una lavadora, prefiero invertir ese dinero en Hive. Prefiero que ese dinero trabaje para mí, a que sea usado para quitarme trabajo básico que considero valioso.
Así es como, no me como el cuento, de que hay que consumir para que el mundo gire. Hay demasiadas estupideces en la industria, por lo que podemos restar consumo y sanear la economía.

Something I've been thinking about is people's strong attachment to modernity. They can justify crazy things with the mantra “without that, we wouldn't have this,” referring to any invention. The first time this struck me, I was very young and heard someone say that thanks to wars, we have many of our inventions and should be grateful for that impetus for development. This is the level of craziness that fanaticism for modernity can reach.
Another fallacy is that we have to consume in order for technology or any invention to continue to develop. What I see is that more and more useless junk is being produced. Most new releases are not disruptive, but copies of what came before with some small new detail. Yet people rush headlong to buy the new “revolution.”
I am not rejecting technology or modernity. I am a promoter of truly disruptive technology that generates value for people. It is not snobbish or elitist technology to show off.
When we save and moderate our consumption, we achieve higher quality. If we consume without control and without awareness, any amount of junk is produced to make quick money, selling trash to fools, which will not improve their lives.
Saving is a tool to put pressure on production. I hold on to my capital until the quality is such that I cannot resist, because it solves a real problem in my life. However, what we see now is that since I have money, I spend it on whatever I want. “If I can, I do it,” without any analysis, reflection, or questioning.
Our attachment to modernity and comfort is such that it has separated us from the essential things that make us human. Basic tasks that everyone should do. In this sense, I disagree with the idea of having servants.
I believe that everyone should cook, clean their bathroom, etc. This keeps us grounded in our roots, which we often forget. Comfort is idolized, and what many aspire to is to have enough money to pay someone else to do the “dirty work.”
This may be one of the reasons why I like camping so much. It takes me away from comforts and connects me with my primitive self, the real me, the one that is part of nature and not the fiction of cities.
I haven't had a washing machine for five years and I have refused to buy one, because it connects me with those human activities. Besides, I live alone and washing by hand is very easy for me. Those images of people washing in a river are very exaggerated to me. I really don't understand why they have to beat the clothes against the rocks, ha ha ha. Most likely, it's because I work on the computer and not with the earth 😁
Before buying a washing machine, I'd rather invest that money in Hive. I'd rather have that money work for me than be used to take away basic work that I consider valuable.
That's how I don't buy into the idea that we have to consume for the world to turn. There's too much nonsense in the industry, so we can reduce consumption and clean up the economy.
