Mom and daughter piercing ✨ [ENG-ESP]

Greetings everybody, it's been a while since I last posted at all. I've had a hard time getting used to some changes in my routine, and today I am glad to bring a special story after such long time. My mom never shies frpm trying new experiences, and years ago she got her nose pierced, so kany years that I find hard figuring out how many.

Un saludo a todos por acá, hace un buen tiempo que no publicaba absolutamente nada. Me ha costado un poco acoplarme a algunos cambios en mi rutina, y hoy felizmente les traigo una historia especial.

Mi mamá siempre se ha atrevido a nuevas experiencias, y hace unos cuantos años se había perforado la nariz, tantos años que me resulta imposible recordar cuando fue.

In 2016 she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which is a type of cancer that affects the bones. And in the process of getting her chemo and radiotherapy she had to remove her nose ring, and with time it closed up completely. She's now in remission and some months ago she the told me she wanted her ring back. That's why I decided to find a nice jewel that matched her personal style to please her.

So a few days ago I prepared my working station and got her a new jewel. I had to pierce again because it hed completely closed shut, so I marked the exact place and pierced her nose with a 16g needle, to then place a new golden titanium ring with a big gem just how she wanted it.

En 2016 fue diagnosticada con mieloma múltiple, el cual es un tipo de cáncer que afecta los huesos. Y en los procesos de quimio y radioterapia tuvo que quitarse su piercing, el cual con el tiempo se cerró por completo. Actualmente mi mamá se encuentra en remisión y hace algunos meses me había mencionado que quería volver a colocar su joyita. Es por eso que me dispuse a buscar una que combinara con su estilo personal para complacerla.

Así que hace unos días sin más dilación preparé mi mesa de trabajo y le coloque su joya nueva. Tuve que perforar nuevamente ya que se había cerrado por completo, así que marque el lugar exacto y con una aguja americana de calibre 16 le perfore nuevamente la nariz, para luego colocar una joya de titanio en color dorado con un brillante grande tal y como ella lo quería.

Then it was my turn, after discarding all the disposable material I used with her, I marked my nose and took all of my courage to proceed. I used a 16g needle and placed a titanium piece with a star shaped gem.

And now we have our matching piercings. We are very happy with them, even tho it's been harder for me because I am taking medication that makes my nose, lips and eyelids swell up. Besides that, with the pertinent care we have been healing perfectly.

Luego fue mi turno, luego de desechar el material descartable usado con mi mamá, me marqué dónde iba a perforar mi propia nariz y me armé de valor. Me perfore con una aguja americana calibre 16 y coloque una pieza de titanio con brillante en forma de estrella.

Y ahora sí, tenemos nuestros piercings de madre e hija. Ambas estamos super contentas con ésta decisión, aunque para mí ha sido un poco más difícil ya que estoy tomando un medicamento que me produce inflamación en la nariz, labios y párpados. Del resto con los cuidados pertinentes hemos sanado a la perfección.
