Maranatha is a form of an expression that represents "Come Lord." A lord is someone in control of either a land, property, a household, and so on. A lord is a king within his territory, and no one dictates to him. He takes orders from no one as he is not answerable to anyone who doesn't concern him.
A lord is a king within his territory, and whenever anyone steps into his territory, such a person must acknowledge him. He decides who enters or exits his territory. His presence is known within his area of jurisdiction. So if a lord can be accorded such an honour and significance how much more is the Lord of host that is also the "King of Glory." He holds time and seasons. He is the owner of our well-being, so it is normal and expected that you appreciate whoever sacrificed is life to keep yours safe and alive.
