La canción usa metáforas para describir el amor del cantante por una mujer, comparándola con una rosa hermosa e inalcanzable. Bachata Rosa (en español, Bachata Romántica , trad. Instauró la bachata en la República Dominicana y le dio al género una audiencia internacional.
