Description from Strava: Would usually have a long run today, somewhere between 17-22km, but time has been against me all day (not helped by the unplanned lay-in this morning)
alarm set for 7am, though I snoozed it for an extra 1o minutes, but think I may have turned it of instead, woke at 10am... oops!
So I missed my morning running slot, and have been busy sorting other stuff out, such as popping to the shops for supplies, doing coursework and catching up with Dad on the phone.
My day is rapidly disappearing... i could potentially do the long run tomorrow, but fancy it on a Sunday (besides I have other chores that need doing tomorrow anyway). So in the end it was a compromise... squeeze in a 10km effort today, and then aim to make up the remaining 10km tomorrow morning.
For ease and simplicity, I chose to head out along the bypass and back this afternoon. Felt pretty good out there, and considering I run all week with my work clothes in a backpack, it was lovely to run without carrying anything other than a house key and a headtorch
Off for a shower and then pizza for tea, and then I'll be catching up with my partner at 7pm
Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow for part 2/2!
