Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 266 | That's just a kid.

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are enjoying your weekends. I was in a dilemma choosing the topic I want to write about. Going top-down, read each and thought, Okay! I will write about it. But, it seems, things are not as easy as they seemed at first glance. 1. I am uncomfortable with many things; finding out one is going to be troublesome. 2. Being an overthinker, I have not taken many risks and have led a boring life, which is not in any way close to reckless. So, this one gets cut also. 3. Okay, I am a joke, and I can tell that because of the decisions I have taken for the last half decade or so. Initially, I thought I would write about this. 4. But, why settle for humiliating yourself when someone has already done it and is on the list? So, yes, this is my topic today. 

Not everyone needs to be Perfect!

This incident happened on the first week of June. It was a rainy day. I reached the office early. There were only two people there as their shift started at 8am. The soothing weather made us lazy, so we were gossiping on various topics. One left for the dining room for breakfast, and then the other one began a conversation as follows: Let's assume that person's name is X. --- - X: Hey brother, Can I ask you a personal question? You wouldn't mind, right? Me: Sure, shoot it. - X: Has anything on your face structure changed? It seems you relatively better now. Have you changed anything? Me: What do you mean by structure? - X: Previously your face seemed weird, and it irritated me. But nowadays, I do not feel that irritation. Me: What was it that troubled you? - X: I cannot tell definitely. But your face seemed asymmetric. Are you taking any therapy for that? Was your face like this after your birth, or did you have any accident? Me: Oh, this. You got used to it. --- This was the conversation. Indeed, I am asymmetric; also, my body temperature is different on both sides. On top of that, I have a birthmark in one of my eyes. I am used to answering people's questions regarding my eye. But someone directly asking about my face is a new experience. I do not know; can it be called workplace harassment? I had fun during this conversation. It opened another type of human psychology to me. Did I mind because of it? Nope. I thought, That is a kid (sure, who has completed the university and has been doing the job longer than me), so they do not know how to talk or what to talk about, and moved on. But nonetheless, it is a memory that will make me smile whenever I remember it. --- Oh! Another thing, my manager told me twice I get bigger whenever I go to my home. Which is also true; I am a stress eater and gained some weight the last time I was home for Eid vacation.
