The One was primarily a computer gaming magazine that was published in the U.K. In 1989, it was mainly covering the Amiga, Atari ST and PC (DOS). The October 1989 issue includes:

  • News - Cadaver coming from Bitmap Brothers; top Atari ST games include Populous, Battlethech, Rick Dangerous, Falcon, Battle Chess, and more; Future Wars from Delphine Software; top PC games include Jet Fighter, King's Quest III, License to Kill, Space Quest III, Curse of the Azure Bonds, and more.

  • News Feature - A look at the Personal Computer Show. New games were shown from Accolade (The Cycles, Powerboat Racing USA, Day of the Viper, Don't Go Alone), Activision (Ghostbusters II, Power Drift, Galaxy Force, Altered Beast, Super Wonder Boy, Bomber), plus a portable Atari ST, PC compatibles from Commodore, and much more.

  • Work In Progress - A detailed preview of Activision's conversion of Sega's Power Drift racing game.
