Dash is proud to partner with Nym, a top VPN and privacy infrastructure provider. Nym operates a decentralized mixnet that protects metadata through multi-hop routing, decoy traffic and zero-knowledge proofs.
Dash's mission is to provide financial and data sovereignty to everyone around the world. A big part of this is keeping financial information confidential, and our first major feature soon after our founding in 2014 was to do just this. We're happy to work with Nym as they align with our values of censorship-resistance, open source technology, privacy and usability.
Privacy and Resilience
Nym has a strong focus on maximizing user privacy: - No logging by design prevents connecting user IP to destinations. - Two VPN modes include fast 2-hop for browsing and anonymous 5-hop for crypto transactions. - Supports anonymous payments with cryptocurrencies, now including Dash, unlinkable via zk-nyms.
Nym is also built for maximum security and resilience: - Decentralized network to enhance resistance to surveillance and data leaks. - Open source, auditable codebase which is verified through annual reviews. - Censorship resistance tools bypass restrictions in authoritarian regions. - Offers coverage across 200+ servers in 85 countries, supporting up to 10 devices.
Nym is also endorsed by notable whistleblower and privacy superhero Edward Snowden.
Dash's Privacy Commitment
Since 2014, Dash has protected user privacy by keeping payments optionally confidential through our integrated CoinJoin feature. Last year we deployed usernames and contact lists, which act as stealth addresses, availabile with CoinJoin in our DashPay wallet to keep user payments confidential. We are also in the process of implementing a significant overhaul of our technology to improve the user experience and confidentiality of our payments.

Nym, as the industry leader in digital privacy for the everyday user, is a natural partner in this commitment, and we're excited to have their help in protecting our users from the modern threats of digital surveillance.
Privacy is a human right, and we're thrilled to be working with Nym to expand access to this right to our users.
