The inpainting ¹ is the process of improving the quality of an image and this time I have used the term to present a photograph that was a little deteriorated which I was in charge of restoring it by giving it color at the end since it was a black and white photo. The reason for the work was because a friend asked me to restore and color the photographic portrait of her grandmother, so I accepted the request.

A difficulty that I had at the time of starting the work was the low quality of the image since, according to my experience, a good resolution is required to perceive and treat the details more easily, especially if it is necessary to add color, in these cases it is best to scan the photo at 300 dpi.

In previous posts I have already published similar works ² of which this is the third restoration that I do and the truth is that I like it, as for my friend, she also liked the final photo. I must admit that I am not entirely an expert but as long as I keep practicing I suppose I will improve.

El inpainting ¹ es el proceso de mejorar la calidad de una imagen y en esta ocasión he usado el termino para presentarles una fotografía que estaba un poco deteriorada la cual me encargue de restaurarla dándole color al final ya que era una foto en blanco y negro. El motivo del trabajo fue porque una amiga me pidió restaurar y darle color al retrato fotográfico de su abuela, por lo que acepte el pedido.

Una dificultad que tuve al momento de iniciar el trabajo era la baja calidad de la imagen ya que de acuerdo a mi experiencia se requiere de buena resolución para percibir y tratar los detalles con mayor facilidad, sobre todo si se necesita añadir color, en estos casos lo más recomendable es escanear la foto a 300 dpi.

En post anteriores ya he publicado trabajos similares ² de lo cual esta es la tercera restauración que hago y la verdad me agrada, en cuanto a mi amiga, ella también le gusto mucho como quedo la foto final. Debo admitir que no soy del todo un experto pero mientras siga practicando supongo que iré mejorando.
