
This is the iconic Cascade mountain, as seen from the walking bridge, at maximum zoom and somewhat cropped. Cascade mountain stands tall at 2,998 metres or about 9,800 feet. Try climbing that!


Let's go back to Stewart Canyon for a minute. This is the half frozen Cascade river, as it flows into half frozen Lake Minnewanka. You can see the water colour is slightly turquoise, due to the glacial rock powder effect.

Another pic here of lower Bow falls. I love how the white rapids meet the turquoise-green water. The falls are located close to the Banff Springs hotel.
