A Sun-day Walk

So, yesterday was Sunday. For some reason, it reflected the name of the day; Sun-day. It's the rainy season in my part of the world, and seeing the sun shine forth like it did yesterday wasn't a usual scenario in this period. However, it came around, glowing and lighting up the environment. It was a beautiful sight to behold, since the weather is always cloudy. I planned to relax, and just stay at home. Hopefully, I would do some of the work I had on ground after resting. Things didn't go that way however. A friend of mine called me later in the midday, asking me to accompany him to deliver something to a friend. I was almost hesitant, but decided to oblige. And so, I quickly prepared and left for his place which wasn't far from mine.  We decided to take a walk; and it was a long walk. We walked all the way from his place to that of his friend, which was really far. They say “If you want to go fast, walk alone. If you want to go far, walk together.” That was the case here. We walked the distance while we engaged in meaningful, friendly and thoughtful conversations about life. It wasn't an easy walk, but finally we arrived there. My friend almost missed the house as it had been a long time since he had been there. Funny. We found the house though. Unfortunately, the person we came for wasn't around. Not bad, we just dropped what we were there to deliver and then went our way. Did we go home from there? No. That would have been an awful walk to share here. Where we went was the interesting part of this walk. There was a waterside around the area. My friend had it in mind to have us go there and do some sightseeing. Honestly, it was a good idea, and I was glad we did. Since I'm always busy, doing one thing or the other indoors, this was a good one. Approaching the location, I was amazed by the large body of water. He told me about how they used to come around to have a good time with nature.    It was mesmerising to find many boys swimming in that water. Some would jump from the top down into the water. I felt like people won't take to swimming there, but I was wrong. These boys were doing it and enjoying every bit of it. Some even gave me the privilege of experiencing an Olympic-worthy dive into the water live. Chuckles.      At the scene, there were some dancers who I presume were TikTokers, trying to create some dance content. It looked like they were still struggling to find their rhythm and steps to the beat. I watched a little and turned back to the water body that was just fascinating, since the dancers were not yet giving something worth watching. Maybe they were still practising.   After having had enough of this side of the water body, we went to the other side with my friend. On this side, the water flowing from the other side seems to be draining here. The volume was less, and many were seen standing in the water that was around their ankle level at most. I took some pictures from this point, of the top where we stood before, alongside many others there. Our attention shifted as we descended further downwards, closer to the water flowing on this side. There, we saw this lady, presumably a model or so, taking pictures while sitting and then later standing in the water with the help of her friend. Another set of friends descended together into the water, taking pictures of themselves and the water flowing, and making videos as well.     I took some pictures of the water as well. After doing that, we decided to go up and set out for home. It was a sunny day, I mentioned right? Why not have a capture of this sun then? I did just that, capturing the sun as it poured out its shine on us. We then set out for our places.
