So it is the first of the month and in the evening. My grass looked dry and thought I might as well water it again. Like give it a good soaking. So when I walk on the lawn I can feel it give in a little.
Earlier today I went to my credit union. It was pretty busy. Well first of the month and were I live school is already on. So I had to wait in line. I started to talk to the people in the line.
Saying, you know it is better to just stay here in line as tomorrow it is just as bad and I smiled and they smiled too. So we all stayed in the line, until we got a teller to call us over.
So my timer just went off. I have to water a section of lawn for 20 minutes and when the alarm goes off I go ahead and move the sprinkler. What is good about tonight is a nice breeze that spreads the water as it is in the air.
Remember that song by Seals & Crofts called, Summer Breeze, released in the summer, August 31, 1972. Thank God for the summer breeze, it makes me feel fine.
When I was young I used to play and sing that song. I am old now and that song is now about 53 years old, I myself am 66 years old as I write. Boy time sure does fly by.
I got a text message from the high school girl next door, she wanted to know what my last name was. I texted it back to her and asked if she got any of my mail. (Well I didn't know why she wanted my last name) She LOL'd me and told me it was for emergency contact list. Well, I guess I am part of the family now.
You see I been driving those kids, and there are five of them, since December of 2019. The girl even calls me Uncle now days. Yes, they are my side hustle and I drive them when they need me to, for a fee of course, well, I have to have my gas money.
Well, the mom is alone with the kids and she works as a store manager for one of the McDonalds in my city. The husband took off to Texas for business and ended up divorcing her and marrying someone else. That is too bad.
Jesus doesn't like divorce, but people do divorce and I guess for the hardness of their hearts. Well, look at me, I'm divorced, I didn't want that, she left me. I wouldn't mind getting married again, but I would rather they get rid of this No-fault divorce and if the woman leaves, she should not take half of what the man worked for, especially if she is the one the cheated.
So I guess I will just stay single for the time being, and even if I do want to get married, I will have to marry a woman in the Lord. Now days it is not to easy to find, even in the church, as in some churhes they young people commit fornication, which is mentioned in the New Testiment, that we, the believers are supposed to flee from.
When I do drive the girl around, I do try to be a good uncle and tell her not to go to college as she will get into great debt. I told her is is better to just get a job and that even if she wanted to climb the corporate ladder she can do it with out a degree.
I did tell her to keep on educating herself by reading good books, I told her to read, Richest Man In Babylon by George S Clason, that the book will teach her how to save and invest money. Another book is, Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, that this book will teach her how to work with different people and strive.
I also told her that she has between the ages of 18 to 28 to find a husband and get married. I told her that finding a husband and starting a family is more important than climbing the corporate ladder, as she will have a more fulfilling life with a family. I told her it is ok if the guy she marries is of average income and is not 6 foot tall, I told her that even average income can evenually make money in the long run by investment, but a family must save money and not spend too much, like take out food.
I told the girl that I am just trying to be a good uncle to her, and she tells me, that she appreciates when I tell her things and tells me she is listening to all I am telling her. And just recently she started to call me Uncle. I like that.
Well, as I am finishing up my blog, I am still watering my lawn.
Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6.
