As promised, here’s the post with the best photos I took during my vacation at the pine forest of Marina di Cecina. This is a forest along the coast that stretches for a full 15 kilometers and is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Italy... When you see the photos, I think you'll agree that it's truly stunning.
As you approach and step inside, you're drawn into this landscape that feels like an enchanted forest in the middle of nowhere, far from civilization, from frenzy, and from chaos... There’s never real silence: all day long you can hear the song of cicadas, which sit right at the tops of the pine trees and are everywhere in the forest.
The trunks are also covered with empty shells that cicadas leave behind after molting, when they transition from the larval stage to the adult stage.
There’s also no shortage of wild animals, though unfortunately I’ve never managed to spot them: rabbits, foxes, and weasels.
Every time I come back here, I’m always captivated by so much beauty, even if sadly, the sea is slowly eroding it.
These four above I call it "window to the sea".
Notice the ground full of pine needles.
I hope you will enjoy the rest of the photos down there.
