As a long time #ecency user myself, at the same time a long term investor in ASEAN Hive, I must say there are times I felt strangled by the stringent hive "authority". Mind my words, there are bunch of high stake holders in Hive that they are the one who decides how much we should get paid. More than often I felt I need to follow a set of rules to avoid getting down votes (reduce or totally taken away payout) even if the article I write is politically correct.
Anyway, crypto community isn't about fair. Those who own the bigger stakes has the last say. Who am I to question the "authority"? Since we can't fight them? Why can't we play by their rules? Over the past few years, despite of my often absence due to hectic work load, ASEAN Hive and #ecency has been quietly supporting me without question. I'd like to take this opportunity to share this with the rest of the team, in the hope I can sell you #ecency, so it could be a mutual benefit to our beloved ASEAN Hive community, so as many #ecency users.
Now if you haven't used ecency before, time to head over to ecency.com and start using it. The new editor is surprisingly useful. Just pick your community and start posting. You see, there's always some small rules here and there. In our little and lovely ASEAN Hive community, there's a set of common rule that we prefers to follow (well, despite I like to troll but I tried to maintain a friendliest tone to make sure the joke doesn't get interpreted as offensive).
Here is one part that you should take note. If you're using #ecency web base app, the latest editor will be automatically set benefactors to the community account. In this case, ASEAN Hive has a 1% profit sharing. Which means, 1% of your income from upvotes will be shared with the community account automatically for future development and or community expenses. With the latest community guidelines, it cannot be removed. Once again, I don't decide what is needed since my stake is only this small.
However, there's a workaround, by changing your phone web browser to Desktop base, this will allow you to have the option of switching back to previous version of publisher. And of course, with the old version, by default there is no community benefactor set in place.
One last thing. #ecency is a very user friendly platform that I find it easy to use. With community curators, there's a chance to earn yourself an upvotes from the platform operator. If splitting profit with the community is NOT what you're looking for, you can always change to old editor, or might as well download a copy of cellphone app be it android or iPhone edition.
That's all I have for now. I have previously shared about the point system and how can it benefit users without additional costing. I will think about how to bring this to the next topic, hopefully I will be writing a series of promotional blogs for #ecency to help the community.
