Reading through all this topic in the weekend experience community for this weekly engagement I have had a prior number of experience in my worst travel from one place to another but here is a particular experience I can hardly forget.
Traveling sometimes comes with unexpected experiences, and one of my most unforgettable ones happened a few years back when I had to attend a seminar in Abeokuta, Ogun State. I move out that day with a beautiful smile on my face cos am very excited anytime I want to travel. From Ondo State that morning curious and well-prepared. At the park, the bus I chose looked perfect for the journey. It was neat, the seats were arranged properly, and the air inside felt fresh. I did tell myself, This is going to be a smooth ride.
After 40minutes of the journey the story of my travelling start to change, follow me up as am narrating everything was exactly as I imagined. The road was clear, the driver seemed calm, and passengers were settled, some chatting quietly while others enjoyed the silence. I even started revising my seminar notes with confidence that I would arrive early. But suddenly, things took a different turn.
Then the jerking started thought it was fuel but the heat in the bus is too much even when the AC is on we could not cope with the heat, the sliding windows was eventually open to allow natural air to come in the bus. It was forced to stop and the driver went to check the situation of the engine and it turns out to be alternator lickage, it was refilled with water and we move on with our journey, after some minutes the same thing happens again and the bus stopped at the middle of the bush in both right and left.
The constant delays became tiring and frustrating. What should have been a few hours' journey stretched endlessly. Passengers grew restless; some complained loudly while others just shook their heads in silence. Though my seminar was scheduled to be the next day. I made it but stress is overwhelming on that day.
It was just a moment that we need to learn that things don't always goes as the way we plan it.
