I love all the dapps the community is creating to make Hive more comfortable and intuitive to use, since we have to admit that people use their mobile phones more in their daily lives than a computer due to convenience and ease; and although I feel that Hive works better on a computer, today I present to you this tutorial of the dapp called SNAPS, which you can use super easily from the palm of your hand, and I’ve loved how great it is to use.
WHAT IS HIVE SNAPS? I call it microblogging since here you can only post a maximum of 280 characters and upload a photo or gif. In other words, if we compare it with Web2, it’s like posting a story on Instagram or a post on X. This dapp is meant to get closer to the public and to the things that happen to us day by day.
HOW TO USE IT
Well, I must warn you that it is not yet on the Play Store or the Apple store, but you can download it from here via an APK (I tested it on Android, I don’t know if it works on iOS)
Then you install it normally. I like that it passed all security filters.
When you enter, you’ll see this interface where you enter your username and your posting key.
Done, welcome to Snaps. Here you can scroll to see what other people have posted, and so far, it works without a problem.
Well, at the bottom right of your screen, there is the + button (click it). There you can create a small text, add hashtags, and upload a photo from your gallery or take one; oh, you can also upload a gif. Hit publish, and that’s it.
For this post, I published a snap with a photo of the view from my house and another with a gif, and everything worked fine (important: wait for the photo to load before publishing, or else only the text will be published). There was even activity, as we can see from the notification icon, which is at the top right of your screen and is represented by a bell.
Keep in mind that if you click on your profile picture (on the top left side), you can enter to see the snaps you have published.
I loved this dapp; it’s super easy to use, and I feel this could be a big step for new users to take their first steps on Hive in a friendly and simple way. And what about you? What do you think of this new dapp, have you tried it yet?

Me encanta todas las dapps que la comunidad esta creando para que hive sea mas cómodo de usar e intuitivo, ya que hay que admitirlo las personas usan mas el mobil en su vida diaria que un computador debido a comodidad y facilidad; y aunque hive siento que funciona mejor en un computador, hoy les presento este tutorial de la dapp llamada **SNAPS** la cual puedes usar súper fácil desde la palma de tu mano y me ha encantado lo genial que es de usar. **QUE ES HIVE SNAPS.?** Yo lo llamo como un microbloging ya que aquí solo podes subir un máximo de 280 caracteres y subir una foto o gif. Es decir si lo comparamos con web2 es como subir una historia a instagram o un post a X. Esta dapp es para esta mas cerca del publico y de las cosas que nos pasan día a día. **COMO LO USO** Bueno debo advertirte que aun no esta en playstore o en la tienda de apple, pero lo puedes descargar desde aquí mediante un apk (yo la probe en android, desconozco si funciona para ios ) https://t.co/gLUl8kOB6H Luego la instalas normalmente. Me gusta que paso todos los filtros de seguridad. Cuando entras te aparecerá esta interfaz donde pones tu usuario y tu clave posting. Listo, bienvenido a snaps. Aquí puedes desplazarme para ver que han publicado otras personas y hasta el momento funciona sin problema. COMO PUBLICAR Bueno en la parte inferior derecha de tu pantalla esta el boton ** + **( dale click ). Allí crea un pequeño texto, añade los hastags y sube una foto de tu galería o toma una; ah también puedes subir un gif. Le das publicar y listo. Yo para efectos del post publique un snap con una foto de la vista de mi casa y otro con un gif y todo sin problema ( importante espera que se cargue la foto antes de publicar , sino se publicara solo el texto ) Incluso tuvo actividad ya que podemos ver el icono de notificaciones el cual esta en la parte superior derecha de tu pantalla y esta representado por una campana. Para tener en cuenta en que si le dan click a la foto de su perfil ( esta en lado izquierdo superior ) pueden entrar para ver que snaps han publicado. Me ha encantado la dapp , es súper fácil de usar y siento que este puede ser un gran paso para los nuevos usuarios para que den sus primeros pasos a hive y sea de una manera amigable y fácil. Y a ti que te parece esta nueva dapp , ya la haz usado ?
