Today, I went to RSPB Frampton Marsh, which is a nature reserve near Boston next to the Wash. The reserve is made up of hedges, salt marsh, reed-bed and has a series of scraps, which are shallow depressions in the ground which is filled with water. These are made to encourage wading birds and waterfowl.

My Visit to RSPB Frampton Marsh

Today's visit was sunny and cold with blue skies, and the recent rain can be seen in the high water level of the scraps. One of the first birds I saw was the rare American Lesser Yellowlegs, which was a surprise as it is a rare vagrant and I didn't have to leave the car park.
