Yesterday was a long, tiring, amazing day. We started with the breakfast of champions over at Yoshinoya:
Look at this spread! Does this not look amazing? This was only ¥666, or $4.51! You could never get a breakfast back home at this price...
Our first destination was Nakano Broadway, a place I like to call Tokyo's Attic. There are so many random shops here! I found a spot that had opened gashapon toys that just so happened to have a Cowboy Bebop T-shirt in my size! So of course I bought that...
I managed to find a few more beyblades in Nakano Broadway, including some random boosters! Sadly, they were already opened and they weren't the prize beys. I skipped those and opted for the Scorpio Spear instead.
Our next destination was Ikebukuro. I tried to find the KitKat store under the station, only to find out it closed up! So that was sad...But we went to our intended destination, the Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo! If you haven't been here, you gotta check this place out. It's basically all shopping in this giant shopping mall, but they have so much stuff you can't get anywhere else. I finally got my hands on a Pokemon Go Plus Plus! They charged ¥6500, which was a stark contrast to the $100+ that scalpers on eBay are trying to ask for the damn thing...
But after all that walking and doing, we were all dragging our feet. We opted to split up and go to different restaurants. I went for Italian and had the most Japanese food on the menu: Carbonara Pecorino.
I tell you what, just sitting for a bit to eat and drink nourished my soul. It left me in a much better position for going home. We got back, I put my stuff in my room and went out to Ueno for more beyblade hunting. I found one item on my list, but sadly, no random boosters. This has been the bane of my existence this trip... I did find a couple great gifts for my kids in the process, however, so now I've got a head start on Christmas shopping!
But yeah, it was a long exhausting, fun day. I wouldn't have it any other way.
