Yesterday was my last day in Japan. Most of the group went down to Odaiba to see the giant Gundam statue.
It was hot as balls both inside and outside the mall. This was further exacerbated by the music festival happening outside, which meant everyone was inside. This place was packed...
Regardless, I still managed to get in one round of DDR at the Round 1. I played a few classic songs, all the ones I knew!
Break Down! Is my go to warm up song if Let's Groove isn't available. It's nice to see I still got it!
Slow songs like this are my jam, and this one just slaps. I could feel my legs fighting, but at least they were loosened up!
I ended with a proper challenge. I love Daikenkai, it's a fun song, but it is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. This is a stamina song at the end with all the jumps and jackhammers. But I still did it!
Once I got back to the hotel, I cleaned up before heading out to Akihabara. I played some Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, mainly playing the story mode to level up my Honda S2000.
Once I was done with that, I did a little bit of quick gift shopping, then stopped by an adult shop that I meant to visit earlier but forgot. Found some fun stuff for me, then caught up with the rest of the group for dinner.
We wanted our last night in Japan to go out with a bang. So we went to this old style Japanese restaurant on the 8th floor of Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara. That was my meal: beef rib sukiyaki and a big ass glass of Shichiken sake. All of that set me back a whopping $17.
After dinner, we went next door to Big Echo for an hour of karaoke before heading back. A small group of us went to the bath house once last time, which was as much for our souls as it was for our bodies. I thanked the nice lady at the front counter for her hospitality and putting up with me and my broken Japanese, grabbed one last drink, and retired to my room before going to bed.
It's a little bittersweet, to be honest. I'm happy I had the chance to come back to my second home, but I'm sad to leave. It is a terrible day for rain, it would seem...
