Hey lovelies ❤️ It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍 Welcome to my blog 🤗

In this post I will be sharing with you how to make a six pieces corporate gown with jonkoso fabrics and we will be using chantilly lace for the sleeves. The gown is a button down style and it is so elegant as it can be styled with a belt made from the fabric.
Materials Needed - 3½ yards Jonkoso fabric - 1 yard Chantilly lace - Buttons - Matching threads - Tailoring chalk - Measuring tape - Scissors - Sewing machine
Measurements - Bust - 43" - Under bust - 36" - Waist - 39" - Shoulder - 16" - Bust line - 16.5" - Gown length - 43" - Sleeve length - 18"
Step by Step
- Start by folding the pattern paper into two and mark out the gown length (43") plus 2" allowance for hemming.

- Then from the folded edge, mark half of the shoulder measurement, that is, 16"/2 - (8").
- Next, come down the shoulder down by 1" and mark the bustline (16.5") from the shoulder line and waist line.
- Next, mark bust (43"), under bust (36"), and waist measurements (39") divided by 4 plus 2" for seam allowance.
- Now, trace out the 6 piece panel, from your waist line take 4.5" inward, do this up to the hemline and draw a straight line across, from that straight line at the hem come in again by 4" depending on how you want your 6 piece to be open.
- Make use of your ruler to draw a slanted line to meet the 4.5" at the waist.
- Cut out the center front replace the side front pattern paper, repeat same process from the waist then cut it out. Use this to cut the back then transfer to your actual fabric.

- Note that each front piece should be divided into 4 panels, that is, 2 center front and two sides.

- You will add extra allowance of 1½" on the center front panel for button placket.
- The back should be 3 panels and it should be cut on fold.

- Next, join the six panels together and be sure that the bust, under bust, and waist lines are properly aligned.
-
Then join the seams and fold 1½" on the two sides of the front center panels for the button placket and go ahead to stitch it very well.

-
Next, cut the neckline shape as desired mine was a V neck line and sew with bias or facing for a neat finish.

- Next, we will be using chantilly lace for the sleeves so start by folding the fabric and mark sleeve length (18"), add 1" seam allowance.
- Cut the sleeves for both hands and join the sides before attaching to the armhole.
- To cut the belt for the gown, measure waist circumference of 39" and add about 10" which will be the tying allowance.

- Cut the jonkoso fabrics using the following measurements- width 5", length 49".
- Fold the fabric with right sides facing each other and stitch together leaving one end open which will be used to turn the fabric.

- Then give it a good press to flatten it.
- Next, hem the bottom of the gown and give the gown a good press.
