Hey lovelies ❤️ It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍 Welcome to my blog 🤗
Happy Sunday to all my esteemed friends. As the weekend is coming to and end let's motivate ourselves as we anticipate the beginning of a brand new week. There are times when you may feel helpless and empty with no iota of strength to keep grinding and even when you make effort to get strength through people around you like Pastors, Therapists, friends and families, it may be all to no avail. The weakness is so intense that all those help you are trying to get is not effective. But the truth is that sometimes you may not need to go to Sokoto (a State in Nigeria) to get what is inside your Sòkòtò (pocket). The strength you need may be right inside of you but you may not have identified and triggered it.
Every day of your life you need to constantly remind yourself of the strength that lies in you as an individual and make sure you activate it at all times. You need to bring it to your consciousness that you possess so much strength in you to conquer and achieve all your desires. These daily self affirmations are crucial to boosting your self-esteem and self-worth. Like we were taught when we were growing up, you can say these words of affirmations to yourself in front of your mirror when you wake up in the morning and in the night before you go to bed.
However, it is important to note that even as you want to portray that you have that inner strength to do exploits irrespective of the challenges or obstacles you face, you must not endure pains, sufferings or a toxic environment. This will be an unhealthy display of strength. You should leave an abusive relationship when you discover it is beginning to become a threat to your sanity.
You should quit a job where you are not happy instead of pretending to be strong when in actual fact you are dying inside of you. In addition, strength doesn't mean you should not express yourself when it is needed. You can cry or show your disapproval about certain things by yelling and shouting. It will be a bad idea to hold it back just because you want people to see you as strong and in control of the situation.
Let it be known that the thin line that distinguish strong people from weak people is that when strong people break down they don't stay down. They have the ability to bounce back. That is strength. Strong people also have feelings and it is not a crime to express their feelings. When feelings are bottled for too long it will begin to generate negative effects on the overall well being of the person.
Great strength lies in knowing that you have more potential than staying down and wasting away when life knocks you down. No external force can push you like the internal force in you. Even if all the best mentors in your field mentor and motivate you, if you don't have that personal determination to succeed you will not.
You need to get to that level in your life that you can not always rely on people for strength. You have all you need inside of you. It is innate. See! When you rely too much on people they will disappoint and fail you. But, your inner strength is always in you, it won't fail you when you ignite it.
Thanks for reading and see you in my next one.
