Brother Eli teaching in this video is challenging and enlightening.
We have to be reminded that simply claiming the name Christian does not automatically make one a very important follower of God. This explanation shows that our action, doctrine and obedience must align with that of the scriptures.
It should not be with tradition, nor with culture, but by that personal interpretation. What really stood out for me was the emphasis on distinguishing the true God from the gods created by human practices.
When people keep expressing the belief, like idolatry, polygamy, divination or unscriptural leadership to church, so this would be that they are not truly following what God has revealed in their lives.
Brother Eli affirming would differ in the examples of the prophets, the apostles and also the teaching of Christ. The discussion on leadership in the people of God is very striking. If I talk about the emphasis of the early, this explains that through the scriptures why God consistently appoints men, not women, to lead Israel.
And also that of the early church. Whether one agrees or not, this is a reason that is deeply biblical and grounded. And also this message calls us to examine ourselves as believers.
True Christianity is not just about believers, it is about faithfully God's will, exactly as revealed to us. May this teaching also inspire us Christians. To return to purity and to know the biblical truths ever.
