When we talk about the philosophy and ideology, this opens my eyes to the very important truth that the Bible does not only rely on human wisdom.
We are warned to beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit. This means that when we talk about philosophy built on human reasoning, this can actually turn people away from the teaching of Christ.
Brother Eli is trying to emphasize that philosophy, especially when it is rooted in tradition of human principles, is prohibited by the Bible. He explain that, why the word ideology does not appear in the scripture. The Bible says something far greater.
The common mistake shared by all true Christians is that it is written in Ephesians 4 vs 5, this is one body, one spirit, one Lord, and one faith, and one baptism. We also serve as a belief. It is not an invitation of man, but this is a divine truth revealed by God.
Therefore, instead of following different human ideologies or philosophical movements, we must learn how to hold firm to the gospel. We must understand the true foundation of Christian belief.
This kind of gospel unites all believers in one faith, and one mind, and one spirit. This is the only belief system that can be approved by God, and can stand the test of time.
