This is a good call for us to repent and give us assurance of the contract love. Brother Eli has manifested that God has never abandoned us, rather it is we who have strayed away from his path.
When we're in our pursuit of what is theirs and confidence, we often take or take decisions that stray us in our path. We stray away from the path that he has prepared for us. These detours come in the form of sin, pride and neglecting the teachings of Christ.
But God remains there waiting for us patiently to return to his abode. This teaching is a powerful reminder that true closeness to God is not measured by how often we pray, ask for blessings or are faithful.
We are to follow the commandment of God. So when we align our life, we are trying to rediscover ourselves in his presence and experience the peace of being near to him.
