Hello everyone.
Glorious morning to all my creative hivers, hope you have a great night rest and I know and am sure today is going to blessed for us as we begin on our activities today.
Today I'll be sharing with the house the cutting and sewing processing of this beautiful stylist pinafore gown for choir costume used on Sunday.
we had a special program on Sunday so the committee come together that we need to get a new uniforms for the program and with the situation of how the prices of material are going up everyday. wow I wonder how some people who love wearing new cloth all the time cope with prices of material this days.
my biggest surprise was the outcome of the dress due to that we used a stretching material and the style have a rapper as a font and how it lay well at the front was really amazing.
cutting processing
measurement needed for the style
shoulder 14 bust 35 wasit 28 half length 15 under bust 29/13 empire line 24 hip 36 full length 45
first thing I do is that I check stretching part before I folded the fabric to avoid budging of zipper at the back of dress and also reducing of the length while working then after that I fold in my fabric into two to cut the front block starting with the horizontal part from the shoulder line to the bust line to underbust line to hip line and the full length. moving to the vertical path I divide my shoulder by 2 and other parts were divided by 4 bust, underbust, wait and hip then I use 3 for the width of the neck then I connect it down to the underbust to form the V shape after inputing the vertical part I cut the fabric out and place it on the folded clothes to cut the back Block I added 2 in for the zip allowance and back neck was width of 3 and depth of 1 connect it a round shape then cut
proceeding to the front design rapper place the font block on another fabric from the waist down to the dress length I cut out the same shape and from the daft left side I form a slant down to the length.
stitching processing
I use the same fabric to cut out the the facing for the back and front and I take it to my machine to sew the neck area for the front and back and also the armhole parts.
Then I put the daft that the back of the dress alone and before I attach the rapper I cut out 4 in length as if I want to do band to the rapper just for the beautification it and also I cut out satin fabric length of 38inches and width of 6inches for the bet sewn it on the machine and turn it out and give it a good press
shape the dress and fit in the bet one to the rapper and the other to side.
Now my choir custom is ready to wear wow
thank you for stopping by and I do appreciate your comment it's really keeping me going and to do better do you have a lovely day.
