To begin with I fold into four to the cut the back and front block together it’s a free dress from folded edge I take in my shoulder measurements then go to the neck 3inches of my neck width and 3inches of my neck depth and for the back am come down by 1.5inche for the neck depth then after that I take my half shoulder measurements from the shoulder point I came out by 10inches for the length of my sleeve for the width of my sleeves I want it the kaftan to be light big I mark 11inches then I connect to meet the shoulder next come the body part form the center of my fold again I going to go in by using my hip divide by 4 plus extra 5inches connect it the arm hole down to full length then I cut it out.

I cut out two pieces for my pocket width of 8inches and length of 9inches, I also cut out two pieces of Mercado fabric for taping of the pocket 3inches unfold for the width and for length 7inches

Stitches part

I pin down the band to edge of the pocket and go ahead to run a straight stitch on it with a good press after that I mark out 17inches from the shoulder down to where I want my front pocket to start with also mark 1.5inches from center and attached it to both side.

For the neckline remember the pieces I cut away from front neckline 3inches. I cut out the same for the band of my neckline 3inches width on fold and for length one end of the opening to the end to cut the band for my neck then I iron get center line it will helpful if I want to sew It to the main fabric. I open up the band and mark out the neckline is be using 22 for the point I make a stitch down to the length of the band the fix it the main body and also attached 3inches band on the sleeves edge before sewn the sides starting from the sleeves wow my dress ready to ware.
