Hi there! My name is DeeYou and I’m a 27 year old working professional who is still learning to balance the demands of everyday life with the things that bring me joy. Outside of work, I like to think of myself as an active and curious person who enjoys exploring different hobbies and activities. My go-to activites are running, badminton, dancing( char dancing?) anyway yeah i love dancing very much but do not ask me to have a sample here (hahaha) and cooking.
These activities help me recharge after long hours of work. Running keeps me disciplined and clears my mind, it also allows me to witness/appreciate the beauty of nature. Badminton gives me both exercise and friendly competition, it gives me also a new outlet to socialize and meet new friend. dancing allows me to express myself through a graceful gesture, and I also love creating and even choreograph new dances and cooking is my creative outlet where I get to experiment with flavors and share good food with the people I really love the most. (Just to let you know I can cook very well)
Despite being an active and out going person, one thing I’ve always struggle with is writing and opening much of my personal life. For the nth time, I wasn’t comfortable sharing to much about my personal stuff. In fact, on my social media accounts, I don’t really post about my life updates. I usually just share memes, funny clips, or lighthearted content that won’t invite too much attention. Deep down, I think I am scared of critisms. There’s that little voice inside me that says, “What if people judge me? What if I don’t write well? What if no one cares about what I have to share?” These thoughts often kept me quite, even though I’ve always had the desire to write about my experiences, the food I made, and my short escape.
But things shifted. A colleague introduced me @vinzie1 and @wittyzell to the a Community were I can share my thoughts and emotions freely. At first, I was hesitant, in spite of that as I learned more about it, I realized that it was exactly a place I am looking for. Hive Community is a platform where you can share your thoughts, stories, and life updates and the new flavors you just created/tried, without being feared of judgment. It’s a community that values inclusivity and positivity, which I truly admire the most. Knowing that there is a space that encourages me to express my self, my new learning, and even allows me to grow as a Human being, it also gave me the confidence to finally step out of my comfort zone.
I see the Hive Community not only as a platform but also as an outlet where people from all around the world come together to share their individual life experiences, travels and and appreciate once differences. For me, it’s more than just a blogging site, it is something that help you connect myself authentically to others, and take a short escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Writing here allows me to slow down, reflect to my existence, and appreciate the simple joys of my existing. So this is me! and my Journey in entering my Hive community journey, I hope you enjoyed reading it.
Through this journey, I hope to share little pieces of myself whether it’s the meals I prepare, the lessons I learn from sports and dancing, or the reflections I gain from my daily experiences. I want my posts to serve as both a personal outlet and a source of connection for anyone who might stumble upon them. So, this is me a newbie in this activity and platform, but someone eager to grow, learn, and be part of a community that values positivity and authenticity.
