What is Christmas? Why do we celebrate Christmas? Christmas is a celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus. As Christians, we celebrate Christmas to strengthen our faith in God. You haven't seen Jesus but our faith tells us he is real. As true believers in Jesus or true Christians, our words and actions must align with what a true Christian family is. Since we believe in Jesus our Lord and Savior we must love him and won't do anything that hurts him. Like if you love somebody you won't hurt them.
Celebrating Christmas is just like a way of reminding us that the true meaning of Christmas is love. Like loving your parents, brothers, sisters, classmates friends, teachers, and fellowmen. Loving is also forgiving and forgetting those who have sinned against us because Jesus forgives us all too. This Christmas let's spread love, peace, and joy within yourself and to everyone not only during the yuletide season but to every hour and every day.
My dear have friends. In this blog, I would like to share the super fun Christmas Party Celebration of the BCBP Family Bogo Chapter last December 10, 2023, at Purita Farms, Bagkal, San Remigio, Cebu. This year's theme is **"Strengthen Faith and Professional Life Incorporate Camaraderie and Share Values this Yuletide Season"**.
**The Program and Invitation**
We the CLP 17 are the organizer of the said event. Therefore, we immediately scheduled a meeting as regards to the flow of the program. We decided to have a production number. presentation and different games. Our Party theme is Hawaaiin attire and we will also select the best attire both male and female category. Many of the members donated to the event. We had donors for stage decoration, food, raffles, prizes for best-in attire, and the prices of various games. We were also in charge of the in charge gift and registration booth, the packing of prizes, preparation of awards for the best in attire. We also had our registration fee of 500.00 each for adult members and 300.00 for our family members. The photos below show the flow of our Christmas party.
**The Practice**
Since we had a production number before the start of the program, we practiced our production number which was a Hawaiian dance at one of my co-members. It was just a simple dance but for me, it was already a difficult step since I am not a dancer. I can't easily memories the step.
**The Venue**
The party was held at Puritas Farm,Bangkal San Remigio,Cebu. From BOGO you will turn left beside municipal Cemetery. It was very refreshing and cool because it was surrounded by trees. Aside from the swimming pool, Puritas Farm offers overnight stays. Therefore, it's a perfect place for vacation.
**Party**
The party was so fun and exciting. We started with a production number by the CLP 17, then the introduction of our host. After that a prayer and welcome messages. Then the presentation of male and female members. The male members had their **Daygon** Presentation on the spot practice. The female members danced a pearly shells. That was also their first and last practice. After the presentation, we started our various games. The games we played were Maria went to town, lipstick, do what I did, balloon relay and eating biscuits. All of us were very participative in various games. We all had fun. We kept on laughing and laughing. We enjoyed every game. That makes our party unforgettable and joyful.
After the game was our get-together dinner. Our catering was San Remigio Cultural Center and Leisure. We had lots of food prepared aside from the food served by the caterer on five different menus. We have lechon, scallops, pork steak, dessert, and a lot more. We also an ice cream. We had a very full stomach. We enjoyed the delightful meals we had.
**The Awarding**
After the game was the awarding of the different winners in different games and for the best in attire. There were 12 nominees for male and female. For every nominee, we were given 200.00 and the winner received 500.00. We were very happy that we received a cash prize for being the nominees even if it was just a small amount but the spirit of Christmas of loving, sharing, and bonding each other as one family is there. Thankful and blessed for having an organization that loves, and cares for each member is there.
