Today I bring you to discover the **Civic Art Museum in Pordenone** (Friuli-Venezia Giulia).
I'd never heard of this museum before, but I must admit **it's truly wonderful and deserves more attention**.

Non avevo mai sentito parlare di questo museo prima d’ora, ma devo ammettere che **è davvero meraviglioso e dovrebbe essere valorizzato di più**.

It's a key point of reference for understanding the **city's artistic heritage**. The museum is housed in the prestigious **Palazzo Ricchieri**, one of the oldest and most evocative buildings in the historic center.
What I appreciated most was the fact that the museum offers visitors a fascinating journey through the centuries, **from the Middle Ages to the contemporary era**.
Si tratta di un punto di riferimento fondamentale per la conoscenza del patrimonio artistico della città. La sede del museo è il prestigioso **Palazzo Ricchieri**, uno degli edifici più antichi e suggestivi del centro storico.
L’aspetto che ho apprezzato di più è il fatto che il museo offre ai visitatori un viaggio affascinante attraverso i secoli, partendo **dal Medioevo fino all’età contemporanea**.

In fact, Palazzo Ricchieri itself is interesting, even though it's not formally part of the museum. It's an **ancient tower-house with 14th-century wall frescoes** and splendid coffered wooden ceilings.
This atmosphere is the **perfect setting** for the works of art housed within!
In realtà, il Palazzo Ricchieri stesso è interessante, anche se formalmente non fa parte del museo. E’ un’**antica casa-torre che conserva affreschi a parete risalenti al Trecento** e splendidi soffitti di legno a cassettoni.
Questa atmosfera è una **cornice perfetta** per le opere d’arte che sono custodite all’interno!
