In this period, my publishing frequency is one or two posts a week. However, if you are my followers, you may notice that **I don’t always publish in the same community**. I like to participate, writing in rotation, on different realities.
Over the years, I have understood which **values** are fundamental for me in a community and which are present in all those I will describe below:
- **Transparency and integrity**: when I join a group, I want to clearly understand who I am dealing with, who the admins are, what the reward mechanisms are that keep the platform afloat and how any curation trails work;
- **Respect for privacy**: some communities require users to post photos of themselves to be “verified”, and consequently voted. I find this request absurd because one of the most positive things about blockchain is the free decision to be anonymous;
- **Interesting initiatives**: these are the ones that keep the community alive. Initiatives such as contests encourage users to stay active, attract interest from external people, flow of ideas and money. These are all important activities for the good health of the group and to be able to grow together;
- **Open-mindedness**: I can’t stand places where there is a single and immutable thought. I like being able to compare myself with other users, constructively criticize each other and not always necessarily agree on everything;
- **Quality content**: if a community only contains posts of low value, for example from users who are alleged scammers, after a short time I get tired and abandon ship.
In questo periodo la mia frequenza di pubblicazione è uno o due post a settimana. Tuttavia, se siete mie follower, potete notare che **non pubblico sempre nella stessa community**. Mi piace partecipare, scrivendo a rotazione, su diverse realtà.
Nel corso degli anni ho capito quali sono i **valori** che per me sono fondamentali in una community e che sono presenti in tutte quelle che descriverò di seguito:
- **Trasparenza e integrità**: quando entro a far parte di un gruppo, voglio capire chiaramente con chi ho a che fare, chi sono gli admin, quali sono i meccanismi di ricompensa che mantengono in piedi la piattaforma e come funzionano gli eventuali curation trail;
- **Rispetto della privacy**: alcune community impongono agli utenti di pubblicare foto di sé stessi per essere “verificati”, e di conseguenza votati. Trovo che questa richiesta sia assurda perché una delle cose più positive della blockchain è proprio la libera decisione di poter essere anonimi;
- **Iniziative interessanti**: sono quelle che mantengono viva la community. Iniziative come i contest stimolano gli utenti a rimanere attivi, attirano interesse da persone esterne, flusso di idee e di denaro. Sono tutte attività importanti per la buona salute del gruppo e per poter crescere insieme;
- **Apertura mentale**: non sopporto i luoghi dove risiede il pensiero unico e immutabile. Mi piace potermi confrontare con gli altri utenti, criticarsi costruttivamente a vicenda e non essere sempre per forza d’accordo su tutto;
- **Contenuti di qualità**: se una community contiene solo post di scarso valore, da parte per esempio di utenti presunti scammer, dopo poco tempo mi stanco e abbandono la nave.

Now let’s see which are my favorite communities on Hive!
**Discovery-it** is the community where I spend most of my time, because I work as a moderator. It was born from Italian users and we have a small witness (by the way, if you haven't voted for us yet, go do it now!) and a curation trail for quality posts.
In addition, I also write a daily column with the best four posts that have been voted.
It’s a dynamic group, where you can talk about everything, there is no specific topic: art, science, photography, travel, ... You can find everything!
In the past, some contests have also been organized and, overall, new users are growing so I’m very happy about it.
Reading is one of my great hobbies and **Hive Book Club** is the ideal community to talk about this. It is a group that brings together all literature enthusiasts.
You can always find new reading recommendations, because numerous reviews are published every day. In the last year they have also carried out various initiatives, such as contests and giveaways for users.
Vediamo ora quali sono le mie community preferite su Hive!
**Discovery-it** è la community dove passo la maggior parte del tempo, perché svolto attività di moderatrice. È nata da utenti italiano e abbiamo una piccola witness (a proposito, se non ci avete ancora votato, andate a farlo subito!) e un trail di curation per post di qualità.
Inoltre, mi occupo anche di scrivere una rubrica giornaliera con i migliori quattro post che sono stati votati.
È un gruppo dinamico, dove si può parlare di tutto, non c’è un argomento specifico: arte, scienza, fotografia, viaggi, … Potete trovare di tutto!
In passato sono stati organizzati anche alcuni contest e, nel complesso, i nuovi utenti sono in crescita quindi ne sono molto contenta.
La lettura è uno dei miei grandi hobby e **Hive Book Club** è la community ideale per parlare di questo. Si tratta di un gruppo che raccoglie tutti gli appassionati di letteratura. È possibile trovare sempre nuovi consigli per le letture, perché sono pubblicate ogni giorno numerose recensioni. Nell’ultimo anno hanno portato avanti anche diverse iniziative, come contest e giveaway per gli utenti.

Another place that I love madly is **Hive Collectors**. Here you can unleash your collections, showing them to other users and comparing them in a fun way. Each month a different theme is chosen to talk about. For example, this month the collection phrases on tea bags were proposed! In the past months we have talked about stamps, socks, scarves and much more.
**Ladies of Hive** is a space for all the female minds of the planet Hive. In a few days it will be Women's Day, so why not join this beautiful community? They organize numerous contests with interesting themes and also have a token, called LOH.
Let's talk about the community where I am posting right now: **Olio di Balena**! It is a space frequented mainly by Italian users, and this is very fun because it is my native language, so I can talk to everyone freely. Olio di Balena has existed for many years, but I have only started to actively participate in the community this year. I have noticed that several users talk about games related to blockchain, but there is no main theme to talk about, it is a 100% free community.
Un altro posto che amo follemente è **Hive Collectors**. Qui avete modo di dare sfogo alle vostre collezioni, mostrandole agli altri utenti e confrontandovi in maniera divertente. Ogni mese viene scelto un tema diverso di cui parlare. Per esempio, questo mese sono state proposte le frasi da collezione sulle bustine di the! Negli scorsi mesi si è parlato di francobolli, calzini, sciarpe e molto altro.
**Ladies of Hive** è uno spazio per tutte le menti femminili del pianeta Hive. Tra qualche giorno sarà la festa della donna, quindi perché non iscriverti a questa bellissima community? Organizzano numerosi contest con tema interessanti e hanno anche un token, chiamato LOH.
Parliamo della community dove sto pubblicando proprio ora: **Olio di Balena**! È uno spazio frequentato principalmente da utenti italiani, e questo è molto divertente perché è la mia lingua madre, quindi ho modo di parlare con tutti in maniera libera. Olio di Balena esiste da molti anni, ma ho iniziato a partecipare attivamente alla community solo quest’anno. Ho notato che diversi utenti parlano di giochi legati a blockchain, ma non c’è un tema principale di cui parlare, è una community libera al 100%.

I've been talking a lot about travel in the last few months and when it comes to this type of content, the best community is definitely **Worldmappin**. You can browse the map of the world looking for posts published on Hive. I really like their project and I hope it will be further developed.
I've recently thrown myself into the world of embroidery and DIY. Also for this topic, I found a great group on Hive where I can compare myself with other users. The community is called **NeedleWorkMonday** and they carry out some really nice initiatives!
Last but not least, is the beautiful community **Amazing Nature**. Here you can talk about everything related to the world of nature: botany, zoology, landscapes, … If you like these topics, I recommend you subscribe to stay updated and to share your experiences with other enthusiasts!
Negli ultimi mesi ho parlato molto di viaggi e, quando si tratta di questo tipo di contenuti, la community migliore è senza dubbio **Worldmappin**. È possibile curiosare nella mappa di tutto il mondo alla ricerca dei post pubblicati su Hive. Mi piace molto il loro progetto e spero che sarà ulteriormente sviluppato.
Mi sono buttata da poco nel mondo del ricamo e del fati-da-te. Anche per questo argomento, ho trovato un gruppo bellissimo su Hive dove confrontarmi con altri utenti. La community si chiama **NeedleWorkMonday** e portano avanti alcune iniziative davvero carine!
Ultima, ma non per importanza, è la bellissima community **Amazing Nature**. Qui potete parlare di tutto ciò che è collegato al mondo della natura: botanica, zoologia, paesaggi, … Se vi piacciono questi temi, vi consiglio di iscrivervi per rimanere aggiornati e per condividere con altri appassionati le vostre esperienze!
