If you're passionate about the **sea** and **natural reserves**, you can't miss the **city of Grado**.
In my last post, I talked about the city's archaeological and historical highlights, including its main monuments. If you missed it, I recommend reading it before continuing.

Se siete appassionati di **mare** e **oasi naturalistiche**, non potete certo perdervi la **città di Grado**.
Nello scorso post vi ho parlato della città dal punto di vista archeologico e storico, con i suoi monumenti principali. Se ve lo siete persi, consiglio di leggerlo prima di proseguire.
Those who visit Grado do so primarily for its natural beauty. The island boasts **ten kilometers of beaches**, including a **pine forest**. The waters are shallow, perfect for relaxing while gazing out over the vast blue sea.
These characteristics make the town an **excellent destination for families with children**!
Chi visita Grado lo fa principalmente per le sue bellezze naturali. L’isola è costituita da ben **dieci chilometri di spiagge**, con anche una zona di **pineta**. I fondali sono bassi e perfetti per rilassarsi osservando la vastità dell’azzurro del mare.
Queste caratteristiche rendono la cittadina un’**ottima destinazione per le famiglie con i bambini**!

Since the 19th century, **Austrian nobles** have been accustomed to spending their summer holidays in Grado! We can do as they did today, and we have a wide choice of beach resorts.
This island also boasts great biodiversity: from a botanical perspective, all the main plants of the **Mediterranean scrub** are present, as well as **numerous bird species** such as seagulls, terns, and mallards.
Fin dall’Ottocento, i **nobili austriaci** erano abituati a trascorrere a Grado le loro vacanze estive! Anche noi possiamo fare come loro oggi, e abbiamo vasta scelta di stabilimenti balneari.
Questa isola presenta anche una grande biodiversità: dal punto di vista botanico, sono presenti tutte le principali piante della **macchia mediterranea**, e **numerose specie di volatili** come gabbiani, rondini di mare e germani reali.
Many tourists also come here for **sports**: cycling is the ideal way to fully enjoy the island's **biodiversity**. I've also seen some enthusiasts kitesurfing and hiking in the nature reserve.
On this island, as in the rest of Italy, the **food is delicious**! I was lucky enough to eat an excellent pizza with burrata, washed down with a cold beer. Nothing better on a hot summer day!

Molti turisti si recano qui anche per fare **attività sportive**: la bicicletta è il mezzo ideale per godere a pieno della **biodiversità** dell’isola. Ho anche visto alcuni appassionati praticare kitesurf e trekking nell’oasi naturalistica.
In quest’isola, come nel resto d’Italia, la **cucina è buonissima**! Ho avuto la fortuna di mangiare un’ottima pizza con la burrata, accompagnata da una birra fresca. Niente di meglio durante una giornata calda estiva!
