El martes lleve a mi mamá ha hacerse unos exámenes y su cita con la gastroenteróloga y en la tarde todo cambio un poco y tuve que salir con ella de emergencias a la clínica.
Good night friends of Daily Blog. Tonight I want to share with you a little bit about what my days have been like these past few days. This week, life has put me to the test, as I say. On Tuesday, I took my mom to get some tests done and for her appointment with the gastroenterologist. In the afternoon, things changed a bit, and I had to go with her to the emergency room.
Nos levantamos temprano para primero hacerle algunos exámenes, ya la bioanalista nos conoce y estuvo hablando con mamá. Y nos dijo que esos exámenes estarían listos lo más rápido posible. Necesitábamos saber en cuanto tenía la hemoglobina mi mamá y es que le había bajado a 6.7 y esto estaba muy bajo y por eso mi mamá se sentia tan débil.
We woke up early to run some tests first. The bioanalyst already knows us and had spoken with Mom. She told us the tests would be ready as soon as possible. We needed to know my mom's hemoglobin level, and it had dropped to 6.7, which was very low, and that's why Mom felt so weak.
Luego pasamos a la consulta con la gastroenteróloga y es que necesitabamos que está especialista viera a mi mamá ya que la sangre que está perdiendo es por las heces y hay que ver de dónde proviene el sangrado pero al mi mamá estar tan débil no se le pueden hacer los exámenes que amerita. Así que está doctora nos dió una orden para que le hicieran una transfusion ya que mi mamá tenía la hemoglobina muy baja y esto pone en riesgo su vida. Pero en la clínica cuando fui al banco de sangre me dijeron que no iban a poder hacer la transfusion porque debíamos unos donantes de sangre así que nos fuimos a casa. Mi mamá estaba muy débil.
Then we went to the gastroenterologist's office. We needed this specialist to see my mom because the blood she's losing is from her stool, and they need to determine where the bleeding is coming from. But since my mom is so weak, they can't run the necessary tests. So, this doctor ordered a transfusion because my mom's hemoglobin is very low, which puts her life at risk. But when I went to the blood bank at the clinic, they told me they wouldn't be able to do the transfusion because we needed some blood donors, so we went home. My mom was very weak.
Nos fuimos a casa pero de un momento a otro mi mamá quedó casi inconsciente así que llame a varias de mis primas y nos fuimos a otra clínica que estaba cerca de casa y la atendieron a penas llegamos. De verdad que verla no razonar bien y con dificultad para hablar fue bastante difícil para mí y me llene de mucho miedo de perder a mi mamá.
We went home, but suddenly my mom was almost unconscious, so I called several of my cousins, and we went to another clinic near our house. They treated her as soon as we arrived. Seeing her speechlessness and difficulty in thinking was truly difficult for me, and I was filled with fear of losing my mom.
Debo decir que en este lugar nos atendieron mucho mejor y lo primero que hicieron fue colocarle una vitamina k que está ayuda a tratar los sangrados y además le colocaron suero para hidratarla. Cuando lograron estabilizarla nos enviaron a casa pero debíamos volver al día siguiente para colocarle la sangre que ella necesitaba.
I must say that we received much better care here. The first thing they did was give her vitamin K, which helps treat the bleeding, and they also gave her a drip to hydrate her. When they managed to stabilize her, they sent us home, but we had to return the next day to get the blood she needed.
A la mañana siguiente nos levantamos muy temprano y nos arreglamos para irnos a la clínica y que la atendieran, al llegar a esta clínica el doctor nos informo que tendría a mi mamá en dieta absoluta por 24 horas para que esto ayudara a parar el sangrado que tenía. Al llegar también le colocaron una hidratación, y otra vitamina k para seguir ayudando a controlar el sangrado.
The next morning, we woke up very early and got ready to go to the clinic to see her. Upon arriving, the doctor informed us that my mom would be on a strict diet for 24 hours to help stop the bleeding. Upon arrival, they also gave her hydration and another dose of vitamin K to help control the bleeding.
Le tomaron la via para colocarle la sangre, esto es un proceso que dura varias horas y mientras estoy pasaba yo me sentaba a fuera de la clínica que tiene una vista hermosa y también disfrute un bello atardecer. Y siento que todo empezó a mejorar un poco con mi mamá.
They took the IV to give her blood. This is a process that takes several hours. While I was there, I sat outside the clinic, which has a beautiful view, and I also enjoyed a beautiful sunset. And I feel like everything started to improve a little with my mom.
