Der längste und dramatischste Krypto-Rechtsstreit der Geschichte ist vorbei. Ripple Labs und die SEC haben beide beantragt, ihre jeweiligen Berufungsklagen im XRP-Prozess über die Einstufung des Ripple-Coins als Wertpapier zurückzuziehen.
Schon am letzten Donnerstag anerkannte das Berufungsgericht des Zweiten Bezirks die gemeinsame Abweisung der Berufungen von Ripple und der SEC. Jede der beiden Parteien habe nun ihre eigenen Kosten und Gebühren zu tragen.
Ripple-Anwalt James Filan hält in einem X-Post kurz und knapp fest: “Die Parteien haben einen gemeinsamen Antrag auf Zurückweisung der Berufungen gestellt. Der Fall ist abgeschlossen.” Chefjurist Stuart Alderoty blickt nach vorne: “Das Ende… und nun back to business.”
Für Ripple Labs hat die Anerkennung des Urteils von US-Bundesrichterin Analisa Torres aus dem Jahr 2023 allerdings ein Geschmäckle: Die frühen Verkäufe an institutionelle Investoren gelten nun abschließend als “unerlaubter Wertpapierhandel”.
Die von Ripple zu zahlende Geldstrafe in Höhe von 125 Millionen US-Dollar fällt im Vergleich zu den von der Gensler-SEC ursprünglich geforderten rund 2 Milliarden US-Dollar jedoch bescheiden aus. Das Krypto-Unternehmen selbst soll inzwischen über 20 Milliarden US-Dollar wert sein.

Die Europäische Zentralbank plant im Oktober 2025 die offizielle Einführung des digitalen Euro. Gleichzeitig wächst unter bestimmten XRP-Anhängern der Glaube, dass dieses Ereignis der Beginn einer neuen Phase für den Kryptomarkt sein könnte. Eine bemerkenswerte Meinung dazu kommt von Edoardo Farina, Gründer der Alpha Lions Academy, der behauptet, dass es essentiell ist, vor diesem Datum mindestens 1.000 XRP zu besitzen.
„Der Markt könnte plötzlich bewegen, und dann ist es zu spät für Kleinanleger,“ warnte er.
Farina weist auf verschiedene Signale aus Europa hin. So verwies er auf eine Aussage der EZB-Präsidentin Christine Lagarde, in der sie sagte, dass alle europäischen Institutionen hinter dem digitalen Bargeld stehen. Dennoch wird es als Zeichen gesehen, dass etwas Größeres im Gange ist. Palau hat bereits eine digitale Währung auf dem XRP Ledger gebaut. Farina merkt an, dass Palau den Euro verwendet, und dass dies möglicherweise ein Test für eine breitere Adoption war.

Mein persönliches Fazit:
Ich denke, da kommt etwas Großes auf uns zu. Wer bereits letztes Jahr in XRP investiert hat, kann sich wahrscheinlich bis zum Jahresende über einen ordentlichen Gewinn freuen.
XRP hat Bitcoin bereits innerhalb von 12 Monaten um das Vierfache übertroffen.

After four long years, the lawsuit between Ripple and the SEC has come to an end. Both parties are withdrawing their appeals. Why the XRP price is exploding and what crypto investors need to know now.
The longest and most dramatic crypto legal battle in history is over. Ripple Labs and the SEC have both filed motions to dismiss their respective appeals in the XRP lawsuit concerning the classification of Ripple coin as a security.
Last Thursday, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals granted joint dismissal of the appeals by Ripple and the SEC. Each party must now bear its own costs and fees.
Ripple attorney James Filan succinctly states in an X-post: "The parties have filed a joint motion to dismiss the appeals. The case is closed." General counsel Stuart Alderoty looks ahead: "The end... and now back to business."
For Ripple Labs, however, the recognition of U.S. Federal Judge Analisa Torres' 2023 ruling leaves a bad taste in his mouth: The early sales to institutional investors are now definitively considered "unauthorized securities trading."
The $125 million fine Ripple must pay, however, is modest compared to the approximately $2 billion originally demanded by Gensler-SEC. The crypto company itself is now said to be worth over $20 billion.

The European Central Bank plans to officially launch the digital euro in October 2025. At the same time, there is a growing belief among certain XRP supporters that this event could mark the beginning of a new phase for the crypto market. A notable opinion on this comes from Edoardo Farina, founder of the Alpha Lions Academy, who claims that it is essential to own at least 1,000 XRP before this date.
"The market could move suddenly, and then it will be too late for retail investors," he warned.

Another connection is the European TIPS system for direct payments. Farina claims that this system is linked to the XRP Ledger, potentially putting XRP at the center of cross-border transactions.
Nevertheless, it is seen as a sign that something bigger is afoot. Palau has already built a digital currency on the XRP Ledger. Farina notes that Palau uses the euro, and that this may have been a test for wider adoption.

My personal conclusion:
I think something big is coming our way. Anyone who invested in XRP last year can probably look forward to a decent profit by the end of the year.
XRP has already outperformed Bitcoin fourfold within 12 months.
