Yo all,
I write my #saturdaysavers post during weekends but last weekend it was not something that common. My head had been full for days before, so I had some fogs or clouds in my mind.
It ended up by not writing in the Sunday. Did it help, yes of course it cooled down my head a bit but not completely clear all the fogs.
So earlier today I had another thought, ok maybe I will try combining my #saturdaysavers post with a post in Asean Hive Community, it should be cool but awkward at the same time.
For you who haven't familiar with #saturdaysavers, it is an old club on HIVE which we frequently share our saving goals and updates with each other. I am an active member in that club and if you want to dig more, you can check my footer/signature below..
So my topic for Asean Hive Community post today is One Day One Dollar. This would not be my best post about anything related to One Dollar, especially for foodie posts, but I want to try combining multiple theme(s) into one post.
When I have my head full or cloudy, I prefer to have my lunch alone. Eating alone sometime feels like a meditation for me.
Either a brunch or late lunch will be my preference. Today I visited a Nasi Padang outlet near my office. I often visit here, not because they have great food, but more like it is close and not to crowded.
I came at 2pm so no more people were having lunch there. It was past normal lunch break time. I sat down there first for a few minutes, because I had no idea what to eat.
So I came to their display and asked for what they had best for today
They showed me this, a snapper head. Snapper Head is one of most favorite Padang Dish, and of course the most expensive one. I wanted to try, but you know... The stingy spirit is strong in me LoL
So I had my sight shifted a bit to the plates next of the snapper head. If you are an Indonesian or Malaysian, you could spot what are those quickly. My sight were focused on two dish there, both were fish head. The first one was on the right, those were carps head. The second one was the left one, those are Mackerel tuna head.
I prefer saltwater fishes over freshwater fishes, so I went with Mackerel tuna one.
Mackerel Tuna is considered a cheap sea fish here, and not many like their head. Unlike snapper head, their head is small and full of bones. I am a lucky guy, because I like this fish since my early childhood, so for me, a cheap fish means I can eat this one more often.
This head was a big one, however I noticed that it still had some scales attached on. So the cook did not clean the head neatly.
A snapper head was tagged at $2,5 and this fish head was tagged at $1. Ok my one dollar challenge is this meal, a Fish Head Dish for a dollar. That's why I skipped that Red Snapper head LoL
Anyway I had to use my hand to eat this fish head, because I had to dissect the head manually. I could eat snapper head using chopstick or spoon and fork, but it could not be done for this head. It is another reason why this fish head is cheaper than snapper's, it is too complicated to eat this head.
You can not eat this fish head in fast mode, because you might injure yourself from their bone, either those bone will be stuck on your throat or your finger gets cut. I need 20 minutes to eat this fish head. That's part of my meditation, I clear my head from my job, just focus on dissecting the fish head and enjoy my meal.
Anyway, I am not a hardcore fish dishes lover. When I eat fish head, I tend to leave their eyes there, which for most people that's a stupid thing to do. Most people here loves the fish eyes, they will suck and crunch those eyes happily. But not for me, I don't know, I just don't like fish eyes. Usually after I eat fish head and leave the eyes there, people nearby often see me weirdly due to it lol.
Ok these are the leftover, those are the bones, eyes, some gills and tongue. I do not eat those anyway. So eating this fish head is like eating a crab, can't use spoon and chopstick, you must dissect them by hands.
So that's what I have for cooling down my head during lunch time, picking a difficult food to eat. A weird habit, isn't it? It's get weirder regarding I pick this one exactly at one dollar price tag lol
So what's your favorite lunch when you have some troubled thoughts?
Ok now this is my #saturdaysavers update part
PRIMARY TARGET : HBD SAVING
My primary goal is to grow my $HBD Saving, to reach 5.000 $HBD Saving in this year, 2025. That is an ambitious target regarding I started 2025 with 0 $HBD. Mathematically this means I need to get $95 HBD every week.
If you see the number is different with the day I post this one, it is because the snapshot or the balance I use is taken on the last saturday. So it is not based on today, which is Tuesday.
My saving is still bad, I haven't settled many financial issues in Real World, that force me to keep withdrawing what I have to pay some bills.
SECONDARY TARGET : HIVE POWER (HP)
Hive Power (HP) is very important for all Hivers who plan to stay long on this blockchain. For 2025, my secondary goal is to have 13.500 Hive Power (HP). It's not a big target and I want to make as many people realize that it is important to grow your Hive Power.
Unlike my primary goal, which is HBD saving, my Hive Power growth is always be good. Somehow I get another 119 HP growth again last week. This week should be lower regarding I might miss a couple of days without making any posts.
I will have to set another new goals later this month, I think I could finish 13.500 HP target this month.
And that closes my posts today. Happy Saving guys!
