In the past we are called as social creatures as a human we rely on connection and cooperation with others to live. The history has told us that our ancestors were forming tribes and our parents were making and joining communities.
During my childhood it was something common we walked to our neighboring houses just to say hi or mingled for some hours. Kids gathered without seeing who they were or what outfit they had, we just came and play.
However that was decades ago, the current era might not be like that anymore. People start to develop their brand new characters, what we are from social creatures, we become somewhat trying to prove as a sole independent without any dependency to other people.

In these days, it becomes something that normal and acceptable. Nothing to be fuzzing about. Even wearing a cross, I do not know whether it is purely accessories or she wants to show people that she holds Christianity belief, but it seems it doesn't matter because they can accept that thought as something common

So this is another video. I know some of you might say these are not correct, but let's face it, many videos are like that and many women support it.
In this post is not about they are right or wrong. It's about what comes after it because many women believe it is what is right. The next step is that they will rise their children, or maybe our children grow up by looking things like that as a common norm. Not only individualism, but the value of seeing other people, as their family or not, will be different with what we used to have.
GETTING KNOW WHO LIVE NEXT TO YOU
We do not know what will happen in future, or what the future will become, however we know well that it won't be the same again, either it is for good and for the bad too.
We should not forget too that basically as human, we are social creature. That's in our blood, our DNA. We can not live without other people, some people might think they can right now because of the adoption of new technology, however I believe in the end we will still need and rely other people too.
And the closest people exist are our neighbors. They live next to us, whether we live on landed houses or in apartments. So we need to interact well with them, and to be able to interact properly, we need to know them first.
Getting know our neighbors is not about knowing their names only, or getting some list of who live there and their background. Yes that information is crucial, for some people it is the most important one. I won't agree with that because for me it is one of the most important one.
Another thing that most important about getting know your neighbors is by letting them know about you too. This is not about telling them about your details, or your global information. You just let them know that you are there as your neighbors, if they don't have any interest on you and ask you nothing, you don't have to tell them anything. Or if they are asking something that too private, you can tell them nothing about it, politely tell them you are uncomfortable about it.
How to do that? simple, by visiting them on a certain condition and situation. It is not something that you could do everytime, unless you are already know them. Let say during Christmas you can drop by and give some small gifts. Or during some even like Halloween or others, depends on your region. Mine is usually about Holy Eid day, I often send some grilled chicken to some houses that I am curious who live there LoL.
Another way to get know your neighbors is by coming to community events. In the past this usually take place in their religion house. Some do in their churches and for my case because majority people here are Moeslim, they take place in nearby Mosque. However recently I do not see they do that again, usually they pick more neutral place such as the biggest house or some nearby good coffee shop.
Some have that gathering for mingle, which is good for getting know your neighbors, some might have it as a community activity, such as having a collective barbeque or watching some sport together. Fishing or camping together, many more.
Just join them, you might see it as a time consuming activity which is something as not your high priority list. But you should invest it first, you might need it later. Getting know your neighbors is a two way relationship, as you need to know them, they need to know you too. And it is useless if you are trying to know them later when somehow you need them. try to know them before you need them.
who knows how and when you will need them, as a social being...
