Hello My Fellow Splinterlands Summoners

Welcome to my Splinterlands post, this one is my my Splinterlands Community engagement challenge entry. We are sharing our trick, our tactic, or sharing our epic battles from our Splinterlands journey here.

In this opportunity I am sharing one of my rule of thumb in building my deck. Some might call this as a Meta, but I think this is part of the meta. I call this rule as You Have To Hit Fast And Very Hard!

I know it sounds silly, Everyone already knows this for long but it is as what it is. I see some people building up good meta, great defense, wonderful tactic, but one thing they forget is to hit hard. Yes I mean your team must deliver a killing blow by hitting your opponent really hard. There are many case that good attacks end up in failure because your opponent is hitting back harder.

So let me share you one of my battle that I win solely because I hit harder.

From all the battles I have, I decide to pick this battle for two reasons. The first one is the ruleset. It has two rulesets, Explosive weaponry and Equal Opportunity, this is the ruleset that demand high attack power and high speed, which means whoever hits first and makes the first kill, should be the winner.

The second one is my opponent match up. My opponent comes with the perfect summoner, Bella Ratajowlski. She gives all unit a deflect ability, which negates the blast from explosive weaponry. In general this should be my lost already, however things will be different later because my team are faster and hit harder.

When the battle starts, you can see that my team has higher attack power. So let me show you the difference here - my opponent comes with 10 melee damage, 5 magic damage and 1 range damage. combined all they have 16 damage per round. - my team has 11 melee damage, 5 extra melee damage from armored strike, and 5 magic damage. It's a total of 21 damage per round. - In General my team is faster, I have 3 units with 5 speed. However they have blast effect that I do not have it due to deflects from the Bella summoners.

The result is simple, I kill a unit in the first round and they do not kill any. They have three good units with 3+ damage, but the rest are so so 2 damage. I only have 1 unit with 2 melee damage, the tank, Silverblade Fighter, but he is a tank and he dies in this round.

As I lose my tank in previous round, I manage to kill two of my opponent's unit. The condition becomes 3 vs 5, and I believe at this point I already reach a point where my opponent won't be able to catch up with any luck.

Round 4 is the last round, They are losing without ale to fight back now. Good Game.

In general, I would not say my opponent is bad. They have a good meta, they build up attack power, they buff their team, they try to debuff my team with headwinds but too bad I do not have any range unit in my side.

The condition which my blast attacks are nullified is already a prove that their meta is working and put me in disadvantage position. However I have 5 units that hit hard, and those make the big different.

If you as me what's lacking on my opponent, it is not their meta, it is not their level too, but they are using units that lack of attack powers. And secondly, the speed different is killing them too.

This is very basic, many people always say hit hard hit fast, and everyone knows it, but sometime they think they have units that hit good enough... and good enough won't win against a very good one.
