Imagine a puzzle game where you're only tasked with pushing boxes... and experimenting with mathematics outside of this game, creating infinite levels and challenging the human mind to complete.

Hello Hivers! Today I'm bringing you Patrick's Paradox, a little game I found on Steam while watching some shorts on YouTube. Just watching some of these makes me dizzy.

So I told myself I had to try it. I'm not into puzzle games, not even those that cost more than ten bucks, but still...

There's something beautiful about this game. All the levels seem simple at first glance. We just have to push blocks, but we quickly realize several problems that prevent us from making the shape we're told to.

First, every time a block reaches a column or a corner, it can no longer leave that corner. The actions we can perform are to move around the stage, and by moving, we can also push the blocks.

It's a minimalist puzzle, but very deep and dense in certain levels, where we're introduced to other blocks that we can find, extract from themselves, and create blocks infinitely.

The spaces fold themselves; we have to think of new ways in each level to Carrying the blocks to their corresponding places and then positioning ourselves.

This is the definition of a game that is simple in theory, but once we're introduced to concepts like infinity, dimensions, or paradoxes, it becomes almost a duel against mathematics.

Some of these levels took me hours to solve, because even though we have a limited number of moves, when some of these blocks that move the dimensions are placed on the board, everything gets very complicated.

There are only a dozen levels (I hope), but the challenge is present at every level. It's not a game that hugs you and explains how everything works; we'll have to solve it ourselves.

The good thing is that if we make a mistake with something, we can simply restart everything and start over. There's no loading screen to stop us, and I think the creators of this game know we'll be restarting a lot.

I've hit myself in the head a couple of times with some of the levels; the people behind this must be geniuses to come up with them. With such complicated levels

There's one in particular where we have to place three blocks in some squares, one of them being one of these special blocks that are like another dimension we can enter with the blocks.

This is one of my greatest achievements, not only for understanding and beating the level, but also because there are so many twists and turns with the whole theme of infinity and dimensions that just understanding it is an achievement.

It's the favorite game for those who want to suffer for an afternoon or want to slide into madness for a weekend.
