Helping my Co-Teachers for the Preparation of the School Recognition Day, Moving-Up and Graduation Ceremony

**Busy Bees** 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝  Hello Hive! How are you today? I hope all of you are doing well. I am excited to share to all of you about my weekdays. This week is a very busy work week because it is the last week for school for this school year 2023 to 2024 in my country, the Philippines.  The decorations and the foods of the event was catered by **Dawn Cardz Catering Services** from Danao City, Cebu, Philippines. A big thanks to them for the fantastic decorations and delicious foods.  Today, Thursday, May 30, 2024 is our Recognition Day, Moving-Up and Graduation Ceremony of our school.  The faculty and staff in our school are united, bonded, and helping each other in finishing the task before the event. Some teachers are preparing the ribbons for the parents and guardians.  **I arranged the pages of the program**  **I used the gun tacker to staple the invitation program** Some are preparing for the leis, while the other teachers make ready of the invitation program to be distributed to the learners and also for the parents, guardians and our respected visitors. There are also teachers who are assigned for planning and preparing for the foods and snacks of the learners, the stage decorations, the venue of the ceremony, the chairs for the learners, parents, guardians, and visitors for the ceremony.  **I cut the "Sablay" of the Grade 10 and Grade 12 Learners** **Sablay** it is put around the shoulder of the grade 10 completers and grade 12 graduating learners with the program and logo of the school printed on it. There are also teachers who help each other in doing the practice for the Completing and Graduating learners to have a smooth and harmonious flow of the ceremony this afternoon, which is the time of the event. Our 21ST Recognition Day for grade 7, grade 8, grade 9, and grade 11 learners just recently finished this morning. On the other hand, the Moving-Up Ceremony for grade 10 learners and Graduation Ceremony for grade 12 learners will also happen the same day. However, it will start at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.  **I arranged the medals of Grade 11 Learners Academic Awardees** The teachers have a lot of things to prepare before the school ceremony. The teachers are preparing a certificate for the learners, and the medals for the learners who will receive an academic award. Students with honors, with high honors, and with highest honors from grade 7 Junior High School (JHS) to grade 12 Senior High School (SHS). The school will also give a loyalty award to those grade 12 students who have been studying in our school from grade 7 until they graduated in Senior High School, grade 12. Furthermore, there is a service award given to the students for participating the school organizations like SSLG, BKD, YES-O, School Performing Arts, School Choir, School Journalism, Girls Scout of the Philippines (GSP), and Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP). A medal is also given to the learners who are members of the said organizations. The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) are the group of students who are the role model for good characters in school. The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) is a school organization for learners that give awareness to the learners in our school about the harmful effect of using prohibited substances. The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) are the group of learners who love to take good care of our environment. The School Performing Arts are the organization for learners who loved to dance. They are the one who performed in every school program and other activities. There is also another organization in our school for learners that focuses on singing. In fact, the mentor or the adviser and the members of the group were the one who sing our school hymn. I am so glad for the learners while receiving their academic awards and for the proud parents and guardians who work so hard just to give and provide the best of everything to their child such as foods, clothes, home, and education. Today is the day to give tributes to the parents who never get tired of supporting their child financially and emotionally. It is not only a Recognition Day for learners, but also a Recognition Day for the unending love and care of the parents and guardians. I was very happy while delivering a speech in front of the crowd this morning because I was assigned to give the opening remarks of the said event. Last night, I was practicing my opening remarks in front of the mirror just to check and know how I look while delivering the speech because honestly, I am a shy type of person. Talking in front of the crowd and holding the microphone is not really my cup of tea. However, I loved to talk in front of my students in facilitating the lessons like the class discussion and other classroom activities. That would be all for my weekdays.
