I visited this beautiful Catholic Roman Church last autumn during my Paris trip. It is located on the top of Montmartre Hill. From this summit, we could see the whole scenic view of Paris. Thus, I highly recommended a short visit to this place if you visit Paris in near future.

The official name of this church is "Sacré-Cœur" and it is very easy to be reached by walking on foot or taking a tram up hill. During my visit, the church was in renovation outside but it did not affect any entrance. The French started to build this iconic Basilica in 1875 and finished in 1914. Its architecture style is Romano-Byzantine with amazing apse mosaic artworks and stained glass windows. Many small statues of Saints and minor altars (made by stone) were placed on the sideway around the main altar inside the Church. For more information, you can visit their official website: https://www.sacre-coeur-montmartre.com/english/

After 20 mins praying in the main altar area, we walked around to admire statues and small alters of Saints, the replica painting on linen of "Our Lady of Guadalupe", the replica of "Holy Thorn" (from the passion of Jesus Christ). However, the miniature replica of Sacré-Cœur caught our eyes mostly. As Alex and I are big fans of miniature art, that kept us to admire each details of this basilica miniature more than 10 mins.

There were many machines which carve souvenir coins for tourist and accept card payment. We bought one for each of us and they are really nice!

Outside of the church is the long fence bordering the Montmartre summit with a lot of locks hang by couples. We laughed really loudly when three or four vendors asked us to buy their locks to "secure our eternal love" on the fence. :))))

The visit was 1.5 hours included praying time.
