Lately, something funny has been going on in my life. This circumstance is the inspiration behind my choice of song. In a nutshell, I've had a few friends of the opposite gender talk to me about their desire to take our friendship beyond the surface level to a romantic one. I did decline all of them but one has been very persistent. I initially assumed it was just a joke and usual flirting until we almost had a fight. Even at that, I still did not completely believe it. Some days ago, we decided to sit out and have a proper discussion about it. I initiated the hangout idea and when I asked him over the phone, he was like 'call me any day, anytime, I'll meet you there'. This phrase is synonymous to the first line of Fireboy's Everyday, so it just clicked.
This said song tells of the Artiste's love for a girl. In the opening verse, the singer implores on the girl he loves to call him at anytime and he'll meet her there no matter the situation. He goes on to say he doesn't know if he's doing too much but he loves her with so much passion, and he'll forsake his past lovers and cease fornication, he'll risk it all for her.
This is currently among my top songs because though men may full ground, chalant men are hard to find. This song with all it wits explains how hard a finished man* should go for his woman - the intentionality, sacrifice, patience, security he's willing to offer.
