Hello folks! Last week @bhattg introduced me to this weekly IndiaUnited community competition. This is the first time Iām participating in this, back to the question. It really made me think for a long time. I even discussed it with my friends. So yeah! Hereās my take on this.

If the world froze for one hour and Iām the only one person that could move, my plan would be simple, walk through a crowded place and look around. No fixing, no changing, no talking. Just watch and maybe click some pictures, not many to savour the moment. Steam from a tea stall would hang in the air. A bird would stop mid-flight. A balloon would be stuck in the sky. Faces would be paused in the middle of life.
Some people would almost be smiling. Some would be upset. A parent would hold a sleepy child. A student would stare into space with headphones on. A shopkeeper would be stuck counting money. A driver would be frozen with a hand on the horn. Every person carries a story. All so different. All so ordinary. Complete pindrop silence. No car engines. No phone rings. No chatter. Just my footsteps and my breathing.
Why have I chosen this? Well, because of the thought that each life is personal and important, but also tiny in the big picture. It would feel big and small at the same time. Big because I would be the only witness. Small because it would remind me that each life is personal and important, but also tiny in the big picture. Oddly, that would feel peaceful. If nothing lasts forever, maybe it is okay to slow down. Maybe it is enough to be kind, to notice, to breathe.
After the hour, life would start again. Noise would return. Messages would ping. Work would pile up. The deep feeling would fade. That is normal. But a small change would remain, more patience in crowds, a softer look at strangers, a habit of noticing little things
To keep it alive, Iāll journal it in my diary, maybe paste some pictures and write a few lines that night. Nothing fancy. Just what was seen and felt.
Some days, when life gets too loud, I would flip back to those pages. I would remember the hour when everything stopped. I would remember that beneath the noise, there is stillness. Beneath the rush, there are real people living real lives. Different people, tiny lives, real moments.
So yeah! Thats how I'll spend my hour.
