I recently went to Mumbai for my company’s event, After the event ended, i along with my colleagues decided why not to go for Mumbai darshan(exploration) and the trip turned out to be much more than just work. I got to explore some beautiful parts of the city and enjoy its unique vibe.

Being a delhite, mumbai hits different. Currently, its monsoon in Mumbai, weather was just perfect for the explorations, so we just booked the cab, and went for mumbai darshan while enjoying the cool and breezy weather.

Our first stop was Marine Drive, also called Queen Necklace. Man! What a beauty it is. The soothing sound of the Arabian Sea waves and the gentle breeze felt surreal. Sitting by the sea felt so peaceful and relaxing. We sat there in silence for quite an hour. A perfect start to the trip.

After that,we tried some local food. Started with famous ice-cream sandwhich. Mumbai’s street food is famous and one of a kind. I had Bhel Puri and Vada Pav, simple snacks but full of flavor. The spicy and tangy tastes were amazing and gave me a real feel of a Mumbaikar.

Next, we went to see the Gateway of India. It seems to be in restoration stage. Near to it was the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, which looks so grand and elegant. Even though we didn’t go inside, but managed to click our pictures, just seeing it was impressive.

We had enough time left, so to end the day, we returned to Marine Drive in the evening. Sitting there, watching the sunset over the sea, is the best thing i have witnessed. Mumbai had shown me its charm ,its busy streets, delicious food, historic places, and warm energy. What started as a work trip became a special experience I won’t ever forget.
