The San Nicolás neighborhood in Buenos Aires is home to a wealth of classical architecture, with century-old buildings that remain standing and well preserved. This is definitely one of the best places to get interesting street shots, perspectives, reflections, and good light, as well as to enjoy these large historic buildings rich in architecture and design. It's like walking through Buenos Aires more than half a century ago, and for me, this is more fascinating than a modern city with tall, flat towers.
In the first photo, you can see one of the reflections that I find most attractive, through a glass wall. It's very rare to find these opportunities for stylish photos, so I had to take advantage of the moment when it came.
Classical architecture reflected in one of the modern buildings, you can appreciate both facades in the same photo in a contrast of architecture designs.
Oh, this type of photos is a vice for me, the perspective is wonderful but it is rare to find such narrow streets with buildings in the corners.
This is what is known as Microcentro. I think this part of the city can be compared to European streets, with their narrow, cobbled streets and this kind of design, a place that is also quite suitable for achieving good perspectives, symmetries, and obviously the day-to-day life of the streets. If you want to photograph people in suits, it is also a good place, as it is an area with many banks. Most of the modern and old buildings have been occupied by bank offices.
This is an example of what I mention in relation to interesting perspectives, lines and angles. Although it is not the best take, it serves as an example.
I have a good and long journey through this area pending in search of good captures and at a good time with good light, the sunset is a good option since the sun goes down.
